What a nice tribute, thanks Pop!
2Aw, Paul Newman...he was one of my Mum's favorites, ever.
It's very special that an actor could have such an unmatched and impressive career in film and, still, his greatest legacy is found in his charity work and devotion to his family.
3he had such a great heart. RIP; PAul. we will always be in my heart as one of the greatest actors ever!

nice slide show- thanks for that. i can't explain why i am a little sad- not a movie buff. but what a classy guy. and can anyone say, "hunkity hunkity hunk"?
Thank you so much for that! I was in the debut of Nick Adams, when they did it in NYC, and the fundraiser with Julia Roberts and Paul McCartney (pic. 24) They are all such wonderful memories. Mr. Newman did so much for the world- he is a true hero, and I know his legend will live on. I think we can all definitely learn something from the kind of person he was....
6I didn't care when Cash died but I cared when Paul Newman died. Not only was he a great actor but a good looking actor that could actually act, I also completely respect him for taking his marriage seriously unlike so many celebrities out there. He was the coolest.
7my mom just found out about this and she's really sad - it's like the end of an era. but at least we have a lot of things that we can remember him by - and he really was one of the best.
8most beautiful man inside and out. I'm still sad about this
9being a pediatric cancer patient is exactly what you'd think it is - but getting to Hole in the Wall during the summer almost made sick worth it.
he was genuine, and that showed when he was on camp. in 1992 there were several campers who were brought together to surprise Paul and Joanne at the Kennedy Center Honors in DC. Robert Redford and Sally Field spoke and then we were introduced. The curtain opened and Paul and Joanne started crying. i think they cried through the entire song and then gave us the ovation. Gave it to US, even though we were there to honor them. What an gift to be a part of a group that was able to show the nation what PLN had done for us.
that is a memory of newman i will always have and i am so thankful for it.
10I'm still melancholy about this loss. Paul Newman was a rara avis. So sad that we'll never see those smiling blue eyes again.
11Going to miss him!
12miss you paul
13There really isn,t much to say other than ne,s in heaven now where he,ll be very well looked after probably, and that is probably the best way to remember him.
14I was watching CNN with my sister last night, and when they announced we both gasped and were in shock. RIP Paul, you will definitely be missed:(
15He was truly an amazing human being and devastatingly handsome in the above picture, I must say! RIP.
16Super sad. He was my old man crush. Gorgeous until the last day.
17Cool hand luke was one of the first "old" movies that I watched and remembered just being completely inspired by a performance.
it's one of my dad's FAVORITES and I think I'll always remember him eating those hard-boiled eggs! If you haven't seen this film, you must watch it sometime. His performance is fabulous.
Add to that he's a humanitarian and a hottie...that's just the icing on the cake.
18Thank for you for this! I remember my mom teaching me at an early age that Paul Newman was totally where it's at, inside and out. It's hard to believe he's gone, but what a life he led!
19I love Paul Newman, and he will be missed, but WHAT a wonderful life. He was luckier than so many others.
20About 5 years ago, in Wilton Connecticut, my Mom and I were in a store and Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward walked in. I just said hello and they both returned the greeting and smiled, so normal. They both looked gorgeous. It's still special to me to have had a brief, nice encounter with truly iconic people. God Bless, Mr. Newman and his family.
