Michelle Williams looked lovely at the premiere of Wendy and Lucy at the Ziegfeld Theater in NYC on Saturday night. We've enjoyed seeing her all Summer in Brooklyn with Matilda and her new relationship with Spike Jonze, but she's still honoring Heath's memory as the first donor to his scholarship fund. Elsewhere, Heath's father says that the family has decided to gift Heath's entire estate to Matilda since his Will was written before her birth and left everything to his parents and sisters. Sounds like his family did the right thing making sure Matilda is taken care of as she grows up.

I am glad his family did that. It was the right thing to do. He should have changed his will as soon as he had a child. He already had done one.

3That was nice of them. Although if he had redone his will, he might have given a million or something to his sister and the rest to Matilda. They were pretty close.
Now lets just hope Matilda grows up to be a woman of substance and not an airhead heiress/party girl in 15 years. Michelle seems pretty grounded, so that's in her favor.

5Lets see what will actually happen.Cause only one Ozzie paper has reported this and the family hasnt confirmed anything yet.When my uncle died unexpectedly and he has 4 children,my father and my other uncle along with his wife had all to sign all kind of papers to resign from everything so the kids to be the ones who inherited.

i am so happy to hear that they are doing the right thing by giving the $$ to Matlilda - it's what heath would have wanted and i think that it's the best thing for everyone.

11glad to hear it. money can tear families apart. although the cynical side of me thinks this has more to do with michelle controlling their exposure to that child if they had not doe this, rather than any sudden feeling of generosity. the family had said before that they would make sure she was taken care of, so this just makes it official.

15LolaSvelt, I feel bad for her, too. Hadn't she and Heath been separated for a while before he died? I'm sure she was devastated to lose such a big part of her life and her daughter's father, but she's by no means a widow (or the equivalent of, because they weren't married). I'm glad his family stepped up and gave the money to Matilda, though.
16That's nice of Heath's family to do that for Matilda, that's the way it should be. If you are a parent, you should make a will for your children right away. After my mom died, my dad made a will so my two younger sisters and I will always be taken care of in case anything should happen to him too, God forbid.
17The more I look at this picture I see sadness in Michelle's eyes. Poor thing.
18There's something that looks off in these photos. I don't know if it's the dress, the hair or the make-up. Something looks weird and I can't put my finger on it.
I'm glad it looks like Matilda is getting Heath's estate, but even if she didn't, it's not as if she would be growing up destitute. That child is going to have more money in her lifetime than any other kid down the street. I'm sure Michelle isn't looking down the back of the couch cushions for spare change. It's very lovely that Jude Law, Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell (was it him, I think it was him?) donated their paycheck from Heath's last movie to Matilda too, but that child is not going to want for anything material in her life.
19Don't get me wrong guys, I'm not bagging anyone at all - except maybe the media for making a big deal over money. I'm sure Michelle and Matilda would give it all back if it meant things could be different. It just irks me that the media is making it seem that if it hadn't have been other actors donating their money to Matilda and getting Heath's estate, she would have been living below the poverty line.
