15Keri Russell. Although she does get to work with A-listers she is still underrated. She has such amazing skills of acting in all genres but especially conveys such belief in her dramatic roles. Such emotion.

You have her picture up there so obviously she must be under rated.. I mean..she has got to make out with Brad (Devil's Own) and romp naked with Clooney (Solaris). Not too mention she starred in movies with Robert DeNiro, Jim Carrey, Joseph Fiennes, Frances McDormand, Christian Bale, and Harrison Ford.
I'd say she is extremely underrated.. she can do comedy, drama, futuristic and period costume pieces..she has amazing range.

74I wouldn't actually call any of these actresses underrated. They are perfectly fine actresses of 'average' acting ability, with average acting roles under their belt. They just haven't managed to gain the publicity of some of their contemporaries that are just as 'ok' in the acting stakes, and have just the same average acting roles under their belt. Publicity has nothing to do with talent. Crikey, if you judge it by these standards then about 90% of all actors are underrated.
To me, 'underrated' in this sense would mean an actress whose acting ability or a particular performance somewhere has stood out, but they never got the kudos for it. Or it was overshadowed by something else in the movie. A raw acting ability that stands out from the crowd.
Some properly underrated actresses I can think off, off hand are Joan Cusack, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Sigourney Weaver (in her sci-fi parts)
