Edward stopped by the Sarasota Film Festival this week where he was honored with a Humanitarian award for his work for Hurricane Katrina relief. He may be one of the those big stars that kind of flies by under the radar but it sounds like that's about to all change. He's just signed on to play Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk. We were not a fan of the Eric Bana version but we couldn't be happier to hear Norton is getting into the comic book mix. We love Edward and think that his superb acting skills are perfect for a big blockbuster adventure. Besides, we know he can bulk up based on American History X and Fight Club.

He does seem more like the David Banner from the tv show. But I love Eric Bana..hated the Hulk movie.

4I didn't love the Ang Lee's the Hulk but I loved Eric Bana.. I am having a hard time picturing Ed in this role.it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Hmmm.. I like Ed.. Hopefully he will bulk up again like in HISTORY X. What a movie!!!! He was AWESOME!!! Not sure he is the Hulk but,, he is good enough to pull it off!!!

He didn't bulk up for Fight Club, he deliberately lost weight for that one. Brad Pitt was abbed out on that one.
Norton playing Banner is interesting - I've never thought of him in a comic book adaptation (sorry, graphic novel adapatation). He'll definitely convey Banner's intelligence credibly, which kind of never seems that convincing in other adaptations.
The whole idea is pretty intriguing. I might be sold.
