Last night we watched the final 7 but it should have been the final 2. Blake and Melinda were by far the most entertaining and talented. Sanjaya is not worth even talking about. Poor Bonnie Raitt. She must have been so bummed to hear her song so butchered. The most noteworthy part of the evening was when Chris Richardson sent condolences to the VA Tech families. Simon was caught on camera rolling his eyes. Thankfully (more for FOX, Idol, and their sponsors) Simon sent his condolences as well on behalf of the judges and then explained why this might have been an off week for the contestants. Even better, today Simon is saying he's horrified about the eye roll and that he was reacting to Chris' nasal comment. We're actually glad he said something today since we knew that was a totally inappropriate reaction even for Simon.
As for the bottom three, I am predicting Chris, LaKisha and Phil even though we all know Sanjaya should be at the top of this list. For a more detailed recap of the show click here and don't forget to vote on who you think is leaving tonight.

1Anything Simon says today about his eye roll is complete damage control. He absolutely rolled his eyes after Chris made his sympathetic comment about the VT tragedy. Simon was protesting the comment with his eye roll as if suggesting that Chris was only saying it to get votes. What baloney that Simon is now saying that he was responding to Chris' remark about a nasally voice! He should admit he rolled his eyes because he suspected that Chris was 'milking' a massacre to get votes on AI.

5I love AI!! I think Chris looked like he was going to cry. Having family down in VA.. I know how upset I have been...I believe 100% that Simon did not hear him.. and he was not making a face at Chris comment. Half the time he is talking with Paula during the performances anyway. NO WAY COWEL WAS rolling his eyes at his comment!!!

8NO WAY Chris is in the bottom tonight!! I think it will be Lakeisha and Sanjaya!! I agree.. we are down to some really good singers if Chris is gone.. SO AM I!!!! I don't like Blake one bit. Melinda rocked that country song. Lakisha SCREAMED. Phil was great but still scares me. Jordin was great. Chris was cute and Simon pissed me off.
14This is getting blown out of proportion by the media. Yes, it was an inopportune time to roll your eyes, but thats what Simon does. Im not saying its ok, because even I was put-off by his facial expression while Chris stood on stage, about to cry. But I think Simon was rolling his eyes at Chris's nasal argument and just stopped listening to what he was saying, while he rolled his eyes. Damage control ensued at the end of the show (and today, and probably again tonight), but I don think he was being cold about the VT shooting.
15I think Lakisha should go home.. She is another Mandisa but only smaller... I love simon and I dont think that he would roll his eyes at something as horrible as that.. Did anyone see the screenplays the shooter wrote.. OMg you would have thought someone would have tried to help... I feel so bad for his family not only did they have a depressed nut for a son but now he has killed all those people...

cause he was like, 'oh okay you sucked tonight, don't mean you're goin' home but here you are at the very end of your 'performance' and juuuuust remembered that you had some family or friends
in Va. and throw that in for some reaction...go figure' Simon is just as shocked and hurt as the rest of us about those 32 innocent victims.

Melinda will never be the American Idol until she sings a song that someone under the age of 50 would put in their MP3. Not to mention her physical appearance. Blake is like the beat boxing leprechaun's version of the Monkeys. Jordin is young, hip, extremely talented, and appears to be a great role model for young women. A healthy size and still beautiful and talented.
