Jay-Z tried on one of the only kinds of bling he can't buy — Olympic [1] gold medals — at the 2008 Global Leadership Awards Gala in NYC last night. The three first place medals belonged to swimmer Ryan Lochte who we're so used to seeing without a shirt that the suit makes him hard to recognize. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones joined the boys on the red carpet. Jay-Z was among the honorees last night and he talked about his recent trips to Africa being reward enough but also opened up a little bit about wanting a family saying, [2] "Most people I guess dream of having a family some day, so I'm just a regular American boy." Before we get to see little J or B, he'll be hopping on a plane and heading to the Midwest soon to perform a free concert this Saturday in Michigan at a voter registration [3] event offered by Barack Obama.
