Madonna celebrated her 48th birthday last night at London's Lounge Lover club with her best friends and loving husband. She was looking fabulous in Roberto Cavalli. Can you believe the girl is almost 50? She even performed earlier that night and concert goers serenaded her with a happy birthday. Here's more:

Midway through her performance the backing singers urged the crowd to serenade her, stopping the Material Girl dead in her tracks. Stunned, she said afterwards, "I cannot think of a better way to spend my birthday than with you tonight." Madonna then said her birthday wish would be for world peace. The Wembley Arena gig concluded the London leg of the singer's world tour.

31Those are some scarey, not-so-flattering birthday pic's! Sometimes she can look amazing (from a distance and under soft lighting) and then other times ... when her hands match her face, she really does look her age. Energy wise I'm sure she has access to million dollar fountain of youth nutritionists + vitamins. Must be nice. But on the other hand ... exercise and eating healthy do go a long way. So I'll give her lots of credit in that department!
