Drew Barrymore gets into the election season spirit on the cover of November's Harper's Bazaar. Like lots of other celebrities, she wants to encourage young people to vote while at the same time she endorses Barack Obama. Drew also opened up to the magazine about finding herself after turning 30, saying:
"My priorities have changed so much. I've been single for months now, and I've turned my attention toward my passions, my friends, and the causes I believe in. I've learned to put myself second. I've had a couple fun, frolicky relationships, but really, I got out of a five-year relationship and I dated a few people here and there. Mostly it's been about learning who I am, not through a man, but for myself. I've been spending time with my friends and doing more traveling with the UN and challenging myself at work. I'm so happy with where my priorities are right now."
That seems like she's glossing over her relationship with Justin after they were so happy together, but now Drew has other guys and political drama to hold her attention.

The cover is giving me a headache.
1I see more of the words than I do her. Drew looks pretty up there and should be seen a tad more.
2That red dress she's wearing is gorgeous.
3The cover is too loud.
4well i love drew and i think that it's nice that she's able to open about things..especially talking about her past relationships since those have always been out there in the limelight, but i hope that we see her settle down a find someone that deserves her.
5drew should stick to what she does best. movies.
6is it only me, or these pictures look barely like drew? stunning though, but i had to wonder for a little while 'is that drew???"
7I am SO sick of celebrities telling me I HAVE to vote. I do not support either candidate, as neither of them share my values on all issues that are important to me. I think that by NOT voting for either of them, I am still voicing my opinions.. I would be doing myself a disservice by voting just to vote when that candidate does not truly represent me.
Also, most of these celebs are hypocrites and don't vote anyway. Like Diddy's "Vote or Die" in 2004... gues who didn't vote?
8WOW. Didn't she go on Oprah and proclaim he was the love of her life or something? My how things change...
9her pics are gorgeous and the front cover is sooo pretty
10man i thought it was the july edition :S
i dont know why everytime i look at her and at sharon stone, i think "Lindsay Lohan"
11Most of them dont know the whole issues of the political parties. Im banking most stars know little of America's geography,Europe etc....even know the Bush doctrine,Patriot Act,Health Care system,Economics 101,terrain difference of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Ask most stars who the Defense Secretary and they dont even know.....
Sorry Hollywood Im voting for McCain and Palin!
Its sad they vote for Obama because he's a good talker.LOL!
12Being President is more than delivering good speeches.
Moviequeen I'm sure there are a lot of movie stars that are very interested in politics they probably just don't say anything.
13Amen, Moviequeen.
When will these narcissists learn that no one cares what they think? Like Jessica Alba in the Hannibal Lector mask. Sorry, hon, you just look like an idiot.
Also, when will they learn to stop gushing over every single "new" relationship? I remember last year reading an InStyle article on DB that heavily featured Justin, and that's when I started the countdown to the break up.
14She is sooo beautiful on the cover! Sooo American lol!
15It's sooooooo condescending to think that just because a person is a celebrity has they have no right to have a political opinion. They're adults, are American citizen, can vote. So YES they do have the right to have an opinion and express that opinion no matter how dumb it is.Last time i checked The US were a democracy, right?
Now, what i find insufferable is that they use celebrities to encourage people to vote.In my opinion, they should use anonymous citizen for the sake of impartiality.everytime i see a commercial with a celeb encouraging people to vote, what i can implicitely hear is "you MUST vote...For Obama".I am myself supporting Obama but i'm also supporthing fairness and impartiality, total unbiasedness. And i find this all celebrity mess around Obama very annoying.
16I like Drew, she looks lovely here
17I like Drew Barrymore and I think she looks beautiful.
I do think celebrities have the right to talk about their political stances but is there anyone in Hollywood who hasn't jumped on the Obama Bandwagon?
Is there anyone in "young America" who hasn't jumped on the Obama Bandwagon (besides me)?
I'm STILL undecided. Drew Barrymore isn't going to make me decide who to vote for.
18OBAMA ROCKS AND YOU ALL KNOW IT. HE DID NOT GET WHERE HE IS BY GOOD SPEACHES ALONE. LOOK AT HIS BEAUTIFUL, SUCESSFUL, HAPPY FAMILY. HOW MANY PEOPLE IN HOLLYWOOD DOES MOVIEQUEEN EVEN KNOW? I WOULD HAVE TO SAY PROBABLY NO ONE! LOL. YOU ARE PRETTY FUNNY THOUGH. DREW HAS BEEN ROCKIN IT FOR MANY YEARS. QUIT BEING A HATER.
19She looks great. However, ditto on the cover being too much and giving us a headache. She should have toned it down a bit.
20Ooops, they should have toned it down a bit.
21lol, kitsey, keep that up. You may not be helping the side you think though.
22She looks gorgeous on these pictures. She's even more beautiful when she smiles.
23kitsey you are helping no one.
Drew looks adorable. The cover is too loud.
I think celebrities have the right to voice their political opinions, just as we have the right not to listen to them or take them seriously. I didn't support Huckabee in the primaries because Chuck Norris told me to, why would I support Obama just because Drew Barrymore told me to?
24One thing, I would truly like to know the real products that celebs use for their skin. Drew's skin still looks 18.
25Drew looks beautiful, but in real life Drew is cute and sometimes barley that. It is just popular in Hollywood and in young America right now to vote Obama. I vote for whichever politician promises me they will not raise my taxes. And that probably means I will not vote because I know Obama has come out and said he wil reinstate taxes that have been canned and create more. I just don't like McCain.
26Drew looks totally amazing here, I just love her. I'm glad she's trying to get people out there to vote, I know there are a lot of people that think it doesn't make a difference and it's a good thing that people out there like her are getting out there to remind people that YOU CAN make a difference.
27Drew is beautiful, but that cover is way too "loud" like others have said. It seems like she had a harsh break-up with Justin, since she is basically saying that all of her relationships after her break-up with Fabrizio Moretti were just "for fun."
28It's one thing to try to get people out there to vote and it's another to try to push who you're voting for onto someone else.
I don't see anything wrong with celebs or whoever endorsing the importance of voting, but it's absurd when they start TELLING people who to vote for.
Do these celebs really think that they are going to persuade anyone? 90% of celebs are egotistical drugged up losers. I think it's funny when I see them endorsing Obama.
29she looks amazing and cute smile
30I like the cover, her skin looks wonderful. I think celebrities getting involved in politics is fair enough if they feel very strongly about it.
31@moviequeen; I find it amusing that you, as a McCain/Palin devotee, mention the Bush doctrine, considering that Sarah Palin doesn't seem to know what it is.
32looks beautiful.
33I completely agree jkat. Although I'm not American I've been following the elections and if I was licensed to vote I wouldn't vote for neither Obama or McCain. And all these celebrities supporting Obama is getting really, really annoying. It's almost propaganda, they're basically forcing people to vote for Obama. That being said, I'm glad Drew prioritizes herself before men, although she deserves to find that great man to settle down with.
34As much as I'm a big fan of Drew's, she'll have a steady man in a few months and gush over how much she loves that guy. It is kind of annoying.
About the politics, I liked what Shannen Doherty (she's Republican) said a few years ago. She said that to do your research on the candidates and see what they say about the issues you care about and pick the one that you think will do the most good.
She wasn't shoving it down anyone's throat about who you should vote for. Just to do your research, pick a candidate and vote.
