Finally! Sanjaya has finally been booted!!! Happy Idol days are here again. Looks like all that campaigning by vote for the worst, Howard Stern and more were not powerful enough to convince America to force us to watch someone who should have been gone weeks ago. We were a little upset to see Blake in the bottom three but thankfully he was spared elimination. We did expect to see Simon address the eye roll and we're glad he did. Just makes us love him even more. The most exciting part of the night for me was trying to predict who the most amazing duet will be next week on Idol. My dream duo (since Molly and I were going back and forth on the very important topic at hand over IM last night while watching the episode) is Bono and Madonna. I have a feeling Bono is definitely involved but not sure who the other half is. I am so curious. Tell us, who do you think the surprise duet will be? I think the voting was fixed. No joke.

1I was so happy to see him leave. But then i got a little sad when he started crying and then i thought-i really don't have anything to look forward to now. but now it's definitely a competition.

BONO????? i love the man even if he can be a righteous idiot sometimes but whoring himself out to American Idol? Say it ain't so.

Toto, I have a feeling we're not in America anymore
WooooHoooo
4::does a little GOODBYE dance::
FINALLY!!!
5thank God.
6i dont get why everyone hated sanjiya [i cant spell his name or b botherd to look up top to see so excuse the mistake], i thought he was reali sweet not the best singer but still made the show better to watch, did simon apologise? i didnt think he was rolling his eyes at that comment at all?
7Well IF he had remained given what was left in the competition I certainly would have begun wondering that something was not quite kosher. He may have been a likable sweet guy, but this was not a popularity contest it IS about TALENT. But I do wish him well.
8I DEMAND A RECOUNT!!!!

I felt bad for him when he started crying like a girl
10I agree that it was fixed. I find it odd that he's wasn't in the bottom three last week (or ever right?) and all of a sudden he gets fewer votes than everyone else? Somethings fishy...
11I was glad to see him go, but did feel sorry for him kinda when he started crying, poor kid, we have to remember he was just a kid. He didn't maliciously stay on American Idol, so he had to feel horrible with all the drama around him.
12Peace out DUUUUDE!
..If you see us in the club we'll be acting real nice
13if you see us on the floor you'll be watchin all night..
That is sad that he cried.
I wonder if they did it on purpose???
..If you see us in the club we'll be acting real nice
14if you see us on the floor you'll be watchin all night..
I feel bad for the guy, he was just going along for a ride.... trying his best and so many people are so hateful to him. He's just a kid trying something a lot of us aren’t brave enough to try. I don’t watch AI but the radio station I listen to on the drive to work talks about it nonstop (annoying) but I do feel sorry for him that the crowd was overjoyed when he was voted off. The hatred would break my heart if I were in that position. I hope he does make tons of money in his 15 minutes.
15And If and I stress IF any hanky panky was going on with the voting process the american public would never tolerate this had he lasted much longer. The show would be HISTORY next season meaning no viewers = low ratings.
16fixed or not... it would be a joke if Sanjaya turn out to be the next American Idol... common! Yeah the kid sings o'right but its not like a big deal.
17Fixed or not, it was really time for him to go. I'm glad we'll be able to now focus on the remaining talented contestants. Pssssst...vote for Blake!
18Chris Daughtyy almost made it last year(He was so my favorite)... compare it to Sanjaya.... hell no...
19Blake is my fav too UTgirl!
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
20t_hive88 ~ thank you for supporting Blake! He and I went to high school together. I so excited for him I can hardly stand it!
21the voting wasn't fixed. it's just that the people who have been in the bottom 3 before (like phil or chris richardson, who i adore) did really well last night, and come on... we all know that it was time for sanjaya to leave. he was definitely pissing people off, and what if blake had left instead of sanjaya? that would've been a huge scandal!
i'm getting tired of lakisha. she's boring now.
22....Now life has no meaning?
23WHAT?? You went to HS with him?? LUCKY!
Hey, is UT for University of Texas by
chance?
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
24He'll probably have a career in sitcoms or some sh*t now, America loved him enough to keep him on this long he'll have some find of career in entertainment.Suck up the tears!
25Well, I know people that voted for Sanjaya and said that whenever they would press redial it would say "This is not a working number". Plus, one of the people in charge of Idol guarenteed the other day that he would not win!
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
26t_hive88 ~ Sorry, nope! UT stands for Utah, where I currently reside. If you're interested Blake's official fansite is www.BlakerGirls.com
27Oh ok! I live in Texas and one of my friends use to have that as an LJ name! Thanks! I'll check out his website! I'm for sure a Blaker Girl!
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
28It's about time!! He really did the worst on tue so it was time for him to go. I've always thought that the Idol competition was fixed. You know they kept him around for as long as they did because he did wonders for that show with those stupid hairstyles.
29I definitely don't think it was rigged. The producer (Simon Lithgoe) said recently that while Sanjaya was getting a lot of votes, they still weren't anywhere near the front runners. He even said that if every single one of Howard Stern's listeners voted for Sanjaya that he still wouldn't have made the top three based on the current trends in voting. He said he actually liked Sanjaya and all the publicity. In a producers mind it doesn't matter why people watch the show or vote....if they are watching, the producer makes more money from advertising. So, even if they are doing it maliciously it is still more money going into Simon Lithgoe's pocket.
Also, people at Vote for the Worst voted for him because he was entertaining. (They like to stress that to seem less mean). But on Tuesday night, he was just boring. I think less people were inspired to vote for him. There are a LOT of rabid idol fans that watch the show and weren't voting for Sanjaya. Sanjaya voters got a lot of press, but it wasn't necessarily in proportion to their voters. The creator of Vote for the Worst said they had thousands of hits every day, and that they were probably logging thousands of votes. Not millions, people.
Lastly, if the producers wanted to mess with the numbers of votes, they would have kept Chris Daughtry around last season, and they wouldn't have let Taylor win. I think they believe that keeping around whoever people vote the most for is ultimately going to bring in the most viewers.
30Me and Blake have too much in common! Love him! I'm going to vote for him sooo many times next week! I don't want to see his cute little face in the bottom 3 again.
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
31right on juju...
32I was so glad!! I didn't think this day would come. It was down to him and Lakisha and I knew there was no way he would stay over her.
33I totally lost it when Blake was put into the bottom three. He looked so sad and I cried. Then when he was safe I cried happy tears! My husband must have thought I'd gone insane (he can't stand AI, he was in another room but could hear me).
34I am sorry gang but I felt actually bad for the kid.... I was about to cry, I know he is not the best but I think what people did by voting for him each week for the wrong resons is cruel...
he is cool and I wish him well.
iMac...Kisses
35Blake... yum...
36I would have preferred to see Mr. "Nasal-y" voice go, he's god awful. At least Sanjaya was entertaining. And way cuter.
37Thanks goodness he is finally gone!
38Aww that's sad UT! I cried when he sang his 1st 311 song, lol.
iMac- I feel sorry for him too. It's really sad and rude that people cheered when he went home.
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
39backstage- Finally! Someone else that doesn't like Chris' voice or think he's cute!! lol
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
40I was sad to see him go. Lekisha (sp?) was pretty bad on Tuesday, so I thought she would get the boot. I personally think Jordin is the "full package".
41About time...he is going to be so embarrassed when he goes back to high school and everyone at his school saw him crying like a girl on national television!! I could not believe Blake was in the bottom three!!
42i absolutely hate AI and have never really watched it but I loved Sanjaya! I was a loyal 75+ times a week voter until this week...with school/work and then the VT tragedy I totally forgot to vote and only remembred with 5 minutes left. I wonder if the news this week took overall votes away...maybe not b/c some people are seriously obsessed with this show. who knows...good luck to him!
43I'll bet the voting was fixed. That producer cannot do math very well if he really said that about Howard Stern fans. Howard Stern has over 12 million listeners daily. If each voted only once they could easily sway any competition. Last week I thought only 32 million people voted. The people that are voting with Stern are voting 20 plus times each or more. It does not add up. I do believe there is a clause that states AI can cut off voting for certain reasons. I believe that is what happened, they just wanted the kid to go.
44I think all the remaining contestants are very marginal, and I do not believe any of them should get a recording contract. I only tuned in to see how Sanjaya dressed and how bad/good he sang. That was entertaining.

Jordin (sp) and Melinda (sp) ROCK!!! I love them both and would be happy to see either of them win.
45I don't like Melinda, but I do like Jordin.
Oh and it was the C.E.O that said "There is no way Sanjaya will win, TRUST ME". Weird.
"Aint nobody out there swift like this."
46i do agree barjar...i'm a stern fan who was voting 75+ times a week...i think i got in about 25 on tuesday night
47I'll bet viewer ship drops because Sanjaya is gone. I know people that only tuned in because of him (like myself), and they/we are done with it now.

Me too lovekailua, I am sure between my husband and I we got in over 100 calls. We had the home phone going and both cell phones. Giggling and drinking vodka martini's the whole time. What the heck will we do with ourselves next week? lol
