Madonna and David continued their tour of Malawi this week by visiting a day care center in Masekese. She seems to be enjoying herself but evidently her whole trip isn't going exactly as planned. She had been planning to meet with Nelson Mandela but he refused her invitation and she's said to be "devastated." After seeing her here that's obviously a bit of an exaggeration. Her rep denies the whole thing saying Madonna "never planned to meet him. She'd be honored, I'm sure. But she's focusing on Malawi. South Africa is Oprah's territory." We're sure Madonna is just happy enough helping out where she can.

31"Oprah's territory?" So are we going through a second era of colonialism? The entire continent is in disarray and there should be a movement to help all countries, especially in regard to the AIDS epidemic, not because they're willing to let you adopt their children or hide there while giving birth. What is Madonna even doing? She's parading around a kid that in a sense was stolen. She should be raising awareness about the poverty, lack of medicine, etc. that are rampant in "her territory" not drving around in limos in a country where most people don't own a car! She disgusts me. I have wished this woman would go away even since her whole adoption debacle.
