I have feeling based off of this trailer that J.Lo has like 80% of the dialogue

NOT intrigued, BAD acting by her- everything becomes flat nad dry; not what you'd expect considering how passionate she can be (mostly about herself)But boy is it BORING

it dosnt look great or terrible, she seems like she can pull off the role. i never herd of him till he married jlo or herd his voice before but what i just herd his voice is gorgeous

At least she's not singing in it. But he totally creeps me out so there's no way I could watch it.

Ugh...This movie appears as exiting as the eye sore that was Angel Eyes, for which the only exciting part of this trainwreck was when I conjured images of me putting pins in my eyes to experience some sort of stimulating reaction to the drool fest!

Marc Anthony is a fantasic singer. People can knock off his looks or whatever but what he doesnt have in physical appearance he makes it up with his beautiful singing. As for Jennifer Lopez, I saw her on AI and she seems like a very personable individual, but everything she tries to tackle just fails. I have no interest in seeing this movie, but if I see more than a few positive reviews, I might get curious.

I grew up to the music of Hector Lavoe (back in the 80s and he was already a legend). I am curious as to which target audience the movie producers are trying to reach? I was intrigued to see this movie, then I saw the trailer and im a tad dissapointed as the movie is not so much about him but more about his wife hence utilizing JLo's brand for promotion. How sad because Hector Lavoe was one of the best Salsa artists of all time. I will still watch the movie because I am curious about this artist's life and I'd like to listen to Marc Anthony sing some salsa. I guess they had to do what they had to in order to promote the movie in the States. For those of you that like the Salsa genre, search for these two songs "Che, Che, Cole" and "La Murga". I am not sure if I can post links here so I wont.

Yeah it doesnt look too bad, and Jen has had quite a few successful movies ( Wedding planner, maid in manhattan...) So she can pull it off . I wouldnt go see it in the theatre but on DVD I would.

Well, I hope this movie makes justice to Hector Laboe because he really was a pioneer of salsa. I hope they did a good job portraying his life because it was very dramatic and sad. Although I do not like Lopez, I hope the movie succeeds!

I hope the plot does not focus on her character because the movie is about Hector Laboe. I am saying this because I know she is the one telling the history and her name appears first(in the credits) than Marc's name, so you can tell for that.Of course , I may be wrong.

Well , I do not think the movie it's going to be a BOOM! because I know many people is not familiar with Salsa or Hector Laboe, but I hope that the direction and the performances are good. I mean, Hector Laboe is a legend of Salsa!! If they are going to make a biopic of his life, I hope it's well done!!

I don't know much about Hector Lavoe's life, but I'll look him up. Also, Marc Anthony is a good actor and singer to me.

Jlo has played in some really good things, Out of Sight w/ George Clooney, Blood and Wine, Maid in Manhattan (cute, pretty good), she's not a horrible actress. She's definitely overexposed, but I don't hate her.

jlo was chosen cuz they couldent find any1 else..but her acting is so borin...marcs ok though

I gotta say, I'm bored. That was NOT impressive, I'm not interested in ever seeing it. Jlo can't act and why was she talking like that? It was annoying! He husband can act and he can sing, he makes sense for his role but J lo doesn't make sense. She can't act or sing and she's a waste. She should just do behind the scenes stuff.

The movie actually looks good. Not because of J.lo but because it looks well produced. I'm hispanic and hector alvoe is a HUGE star in the latin commmuinty.

I love music in general and really like salsa so it's going to be cool to watch.

I really do not J.Lo's acting style...she is way too aware of herself and when she TRIES to act cute and bubbly it makes me ill. Being aware of how you look on camera is great for a music video, but it ruins the intimate feeling "fly on the wall" thing that movies are supposed to give you.

I would watch a biography about this man, but no way would I go see this movie.

Nadioz, I can't believe Hector Lavoe's wife chose Lopez to play her. I know you like Jennifer Lopez, I used to (when she did "Selena" and "Out of side", but her other movies were really bad. Besides, I just can't believe that she could not assist to the Selena's tribute because she was busy..I mean ...come on!! it was the role of her life...the least she could do was to attend.

Marc Anthony has an amazing singing voice...always loved his music. Jennifer Lopez should just stay quiet and dance, that's what she's good at. I'm sorry but how annoying is her voice in every scene of this movie?

Actually, I just saw the trailer again, and I think Lopez has more chemistry with Marc than with Ben Affleck, so I may no be that bad

this might explain why he has been looking so thin lately if he has been playing a drug addict, the role might call for him to be thin. i think it looks good!
