she looks more frail than usual there - i'm used to seeing one of my favorite women ever looking tiny - but she's getting to be nothing but a skeleton, and the pixie hair cut makes her look even smaller. oh well. as for the build-a-bear thing - i guess word does travel fast since it was only last week or so ago that suri was doing that huh?

She probably wears the shoes because without them her kids are almost the same size! I'm in the same boat. Without heels, my daughter has only about 5 inches to go before we see eye level, and she's only going to be 9! Being so tiny that bag looks a little like luggage on her, perhaps she's using it as a shopping tote? I still think its adorable how she's all glammed up, but such a hands-on mom!

By all accounts David likes girls with a bit more curves going on...(see the girl he cheated on Posh with). She like any other women in the world is starving herself because of low self-esteem and doesn't think she is pretty enough or skinny enough...or won't be liked unless she is a certain size. Pressure is probably even higher in celebrity culture...where apparently if you gain a little weight everyone is on bump watch.

I don't think its a funny thing and to tease someone over it or call them names is unclassy. Its not different than teasing someone because they are overweight.

This kind of judgment really disturbs me, no matter who one is referring to. Just because a person is thin does NOT mean they have an eating disorder. Believe it or not there are people who are naturally thin and who strive to keep weight on.

I'm one of those people who's been accused of having various eating disorders my whole life, yet I've never dieted a day in my life. From the time I was a toddler until a few years ago I have always been very thin. Now that I've hit early menopause I've put on a few pounds and I get the "oh you're *finally* eating" comments, even though my eating habits haven't changed a bit. My daughter takes after my husband and myself and gets the "Twiggy" comments, and people asking me if I feed her. She's very healthy and eats healthy, just naturally thin. People *are* naturally thin sometimes, so don't assume. I would never pass judgment on someone who looked overweight, assuming they can't control themselves, so why is okay to do this to someone who's thin?

This proves nothing. Just because she's thinner now doesn't mean she has an eating disorder. Perhaps she works out more, is more conscious of what she eats, or has thyroid problems, or whatever else may cause her to be thinner now. IMO its just as bad to accuse someone of an eating disorder as it is to call someone fat. Both things are passing judgment upon a person based upon the way they look and you may think "it's not that bad" but my experience differs.

That's my point exactly. From your info she may very well have an eating disorder, but people *automatically* assuming someone who's thin has eating disorders is really the same thing as making fun of someone who's overweight.

I've always liked Victoria, she does seem like a hands-on mom even though she is a tad overdressed. But what are you gonna do? People always complain about Jennifer Garner looking frumpy when she plays with Violet, and people say Angelina dresses in boring colors all the time. Some people are just very critical.

Punk Glam Queen, i don't think Victoria has an eating disorder necessarily (although she probably doesn't eat anything but healthy food), but she isn't naturally skinny either. She was definitely curvier back in the Spice Girls and I liked her that way. Ever since she got with David, it seems like she has been trying too hard to stay thin. Then again, she did recently say that she has started to work out several times a week...

Children will *always* be embarrassed by their parents regardless of what they wear. You may not like the look, but there is nothing inappropriate about it -- she's wearing an a-line dress and heels, what part is so offensive? IMO that last comment came off as completely sexist. Why can't a woman be a fashion icon and a mother at the same time? A mother can't look fashionable and still be a mother? The same isn't said of fathers, is it?
