As many of you know Madonna holds a very special place in my heart. She's more than an entertainer to many of us - she's an inspiration. We just want to congratulate Madonna on 25 years of fabulousness - music, fashion, motherhood and more. We can't wait to see what she has in store for us in the future. Here's more from Madonna's official website:

It may seem like only yesterday but 25 years ago on April 24, 1982, Sire Records honcho Seymour Stein released a single called "EVERYBODY" on Warner Bros. Records by an unknown singer from Rochester, Michigan by the name of Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone. To say the world would never be the same is an understatement. The song went on to become a huge dancefloor hit and was heard all over the radio in the Summer of 1982. That little girl from Michigan would go on to become one of the most famous entertainers and cultural icons in history - selling close to 200 million records and remaining a star of enormous magnitude and influence for the next 25 years. She's just getting started. Long Live the Queen and Happy Anniversary to Madonna.

Long may she reign! Until Lourdes takes over.
5The ever evolving Madge, I loved the "Don't tell me" Madonna.
6*Love* the top row of pix - "Classic Madonna"!
7Wow, 25 years of Madonna!
8I liked her before more than now, since she had this phase to be an ACTRESS - I lost sympathy .. I have read that she would do anything to be an actress and reason marrying GUY.. not sure if that is true, but ..why not happy with music - Although I must tell she looks incredible and very FIT; We have her latest DVD MUSIC TOUR - it is amazing but as a person I do not sympathize much with her.
9Aww, I remember when I really liked her. I can't believe it's been 25 years already.
10I'm twisting my cone boobie bras and grabbin the crotch in honor on Madonna
11I ♥ Madonna...there are some songs I haven't been too crazy about but..gotta love her!
12That's amazing. And boy has she done a lot within these last 25 years! Cheers Madonna!
13Fabulous Fabulous The world's most successful and greatest female recording artist still has more to offer. I love in every period of her illustrious career. Can't wait for her new RnB album. Hope she changes the phase of American music now. All hail Madonna the Queen!
14Congratulations! I love her in every period of her career. I love Ray of Light - my fave Madonna album (2nd is Bedtime Stories), Desperately Seeking Susan, Dick Tracy, Evita, Frozen - my fave Madonna song and the Girlie Show - my fave concert.
15She is a great artist! The ringtone of my celular is Like a prayer. Congratulations on your 25 year with us.
16Congrats Madonna!
17You can't help but want to hear more about her.Ever changing artist!Rock on Madonna.
18I remember when Madonna sang at The roller skating rink/dance club by my house nin NY when I was in the 7th grade. I bought her album at a Flea Market, and listened to it non-stop. She's still fabulous now- her body is insane.
19Madonna rocks, she's a strong women.
20Sheesh, she's been hawking herself for a quarter of a century!
I always thought her career peaked around Desperately Seeking Susan, which was probably her best ever acting role.
21You have to love Madonna! She's a legend, her children are beautiful, she's got a great heart, she's been through so much, I absolutely love her music too! She's so talented! I love her style too.
22Madonna is the one artist who's always a step or even two ahead us all.
23I used to love her but somehow I out-grew her but she's still Madonna and has acomplished a lot.
However, I would like to also like to congradulate her for being the first white person in a long time to purchase an Afrikan. She's such a trend setter!!!
24I think the fact she has made it this long, is worth respect. Like her or not she has done what few can.
25Congrats on always being you and making trends.
"However, I would like to also like to congradulate her for being the first white person in a long time to purchase an Afrikan"
I know it wasnt meant this way but sounded like slavery that way, heh the idea of buying another.
I would have called it adoption because it wasnt a sale like shoes but adding to her family and giving a child a chance at a family.
26Good job Madonna! You're really are a LEGEND, and a fashion icon!!!
27Woman of many faces! She is an icon indeed!
28Madonna isnt one of favorites. I dont like her
I will never forget some of her nasty video's.
29Nasty videos? What do you mean?
30Provocative maybe, but nasty? Not really...
Meg uses tons of botox..That's the truth. She is healthy but she knows when she needs a little help with her face. I think she's strong and very talented. I also think she is a control freak.
31That whole adoption thing and her last visit to Malawi..I don't know but I am not 100 percents convinced by Meg. She is too proud to admit she's totally screwed up.
32Not a fan anymore
..If you see us in the club we'll be acting real nice
33if you see us on the floor you'll be watchin all night..
YUCK!! MAG THE HAG!! I have no respect for a women who won't let her kids watch the CRAP she puts on our tv. I get it.. good enough for us pee ons but not your kids.
34Madonna rocked in the early 90's now she is just a sell out!!
I never thought of it that way ohsuri. But, I totally agree with you. One of these days those kids are going to see what their crazy mom has done. Same with Brits kids, but she will probably let them watch tv, so they will know their whole life.
..If you see us in the club we'll be acting real nice
35if you see us on the floor you'll be watchin all night..
I loved Madonna back then! I have a bunch of her old songs on my mp3. Happy Anniversary!
(singing) - Everybody..come on, dance and sing. Everybody..get up and do your thang. I swear..I LOVE THE 80's and I wish I could rewind time.
36http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tGEYHKGWSE HER FIRST LIVE PERFORMANCE EVER OF EVERYBODY in NYC!
37madonna I love you!! grats on two and a half decades of fame, success, heroism and being a wonderful role model and mother. Lourdes and Rocko are lucky to have you!
38oh whatever , dooont like her !
39yeah i agree w u Oshuri and ilove2ski .
....but she looks pretty w that "fake" long hair in the 1st pic ...used to like her .
40I adore Madonna. Always have, always will. She revolutionized the music industry, videos, and in the process she created some amazing music. I saw her on the ray of light tour. She's unbelievable.
As a hardcore feminist, I sometimes have trouble with the idea of using your sexuality as a marketing tactic but then again she's was never Britney, sixteen and being told to act naughty (but say you're a virgin!).
Madonna was never manipulated, she was never taken advantage of. Everything she did, she did on HER terms with her OWN ideas. That has carried through in her parenting. She's in control. And she's never once given the impression that her music and videos are for YOUR children's consumption, they are for YOU to listen/enjoy/trash/make fun of/dance to.
A lot of people just think she's used up and are "over her." But is that really how we should think about women in their late 40's? She should stop trying to be sexy? She should just go quietly raise her kids? I applaud her for continuing to get out there, make new music, look sexy, complete demanding tour schedules.
She's what a hot, smart, funny, little bit crazy, opinionated, demanding and assertive woman looks like. And frankly I think it looks fine to me. Cheers madonna!
41I find these pictures wrong on SO MANY LEVELS.
..If you see us in the club we'll be acting real nice
42if you see us on the floor you'll be watchin all night..
I love Madonna! She is an amazing artist, she paved the way for people like Britney and Jessica. And she's from my hometown!!!
43She's such a chameleon! Congrats to her. I totally didn't know Everybody was her first single.
44Paved the way by hanging on crosses? She was a trend setter in her prime yes.. now she is hanging on trying to stay relevant. Being 40 does not make you dried up or whatever... look at Iman...look at Michele Phifer. I can name hundreds of women in there 40's and 50's that are classy and not hypocrites. Do as I say.. not as I do.
45i think she is older than 40 ohsuri, lol. It wouldn't surprise me if she's like 51 or something.
46luv her
47i'm not really a fan oh "her" but i do like some of the music she makes.
