Like a neatnik who has one room in her house chock full of crap, I am a pretty well-groomed woman who has a not-so-secret shame: my feet are unkempt and I think pedicures are dumb.
It's not that I don't appreciate nice, lacquered toes on other ladies. It makes me think--wow, she's really paying attention to stuff. She looks great. Love that color. I should get me some Chanel "Midnight" or whatever.
But when the extra time comes along, I'd rather be doing something else besides worrying about my dumb toes.
I try to keep them from being icky. I trim them, file them, sometimes exfoliate them and even use Bert's Bees Peppermint Foot Balm (love that stuff!), but I can't remember the last time I painted them or had them painted.
Women have so many things to worry about, I think it's my way of protesting. Or maybe I'm just really lazy.
