Nicole Richie and Joel Madden shared a loving moment outside the farmers market on Saturday afternoon. We don't always see too much affection between these two and there were a few rumors of trouble over the past couple of months, so it's sweet to see Nicole cuddling up into Joel's chest. Their third partner in crime Harlow skipped this outing but the young parents still need to have a little alone time every now and then.

i love seeing this couple together. i think that anyone who's going to jump to the conclusion that there's anything wrong with them, then they are just allowing themselves to be swayed by rumors and gossip. joel is the kind of guy that always seems to be in long term relationships and what they have together seems to work well for them. i hope that we get to see more of them together. and i wouldn't mind if they got married - that would be a great hippie rocker chic wedding don't you think?

Not really a fan of Nicole or Joel. Just don't get them, but as long as they're happy...who am I to judge? So far Nicole seems to have straightened her act out and that's a good thing...

I like them. I'm so sick of rumors about trouble between couples. Its like as soon as they get together there's all the happy blah blah blah, and then it turns into the "ok lets start some sh*t, I bet they hate each other and are miserable". Bleh.

It's refreshing to see someone (pretty or not so pretty) going natural b/c when the day is over, this is the face they scare their family members with anywayz and it's not lazy to wear no make up...now, to look like a hobo who didn't take a shower and

wow people are criticizing her for not wearing makeup? that's so sad, we're all so conceited and shallow. not wearing makeup should be rewarded not frowned upon, it means she's secure with herself and doesn't always need to plaster her face to feel like she looks decent enough to be in public.
oh and, "stoopid" you really must be stupid. NICOLE says she is 1/4 latina, 1/4 black, and then half white. just because she doesn't fit the stereotypical profile doesn't mean she's not mixed race. oh and that would make harlow 1/8 latina, 1/8 black, and 3/4 white.

I have to say they look cute together in this picture. I was really skeptical when they got together and I have to wonder if they would still would be together if Nicole hadn't gotten pregnant, but I guess the point is moot anyway. Now they have Harlow, and they seem pretty happy.
I think Nicole just identifies herself as African American because her adoptive father Lionel Richie is black, even though it is not her dominant ethnicity.

i don't see how using your name as an insult shows ignorance, just animosity as an instantaneous reaction to any statement as ill thought out as 'i'm curious to see what they claim their child is.' oh and it's actually a FACT that nicole richie is "of caucasian, black creole, and mexican descent." period. her biological father is peter escovedo.
