After months of rumors and one feud with Donald Trump that has gone on way (WAAAAAY) too long, Rosie O'Donnell may be leaving The View. According to TMZ, she is expected to make the announcement on air this morning, but stick it out on the show until the end of the season. Rosie has been surrounded by both controversy and praise since she joined the cast.
Her just under a year on The View will probably be best remembered for her extremely (and annoyingly) public argument with Donald. It's honestly hard to remember what it was originally about (Miss USA? Really?), but it got particularly ugly when he brought Barbara Walters' rumored distaste for Rosie on the show into the picture.
Who knows what the full reasons are for Rosie's supposed exit, like whether it was her doing or she was urged out, though something tells me we'll find out. Secrets don't seem to exist with that bunch. May I respectfully suggest that Barbara take this as a cue to shut down the show entirely? The tension between the women on that show is palpable these days. Stay tuned for updates as we figure out the full story!

1She will be missed. After watching her interview on inside the actor stuido. I like her!. I also long before I saw it was on her side about the whole Donald thing. I am all for second chances ( well short of drink drivers) anyway enough of that stuff.

11I can't stand Rosie.. she is such a bully. Yes we can have different views.. HENCE THE NAME THE VIEW. I am not on the right but...after Rosie said Elizabeth had no clue because she was young... INSULT TO ALL OF US no matter what side.. I have just been sick to death of her. Se can dish it but runs and hides and expects people to take her side when she starts trouble. I have LOST ALL respect for Barbara as well. She went from a Journalist to a E news commentator!!!

16Rosie makes the show entertaining though , most people are tuning in to see what she'll say or do , so if she leaves the ratings will go as well.....

I love Rosie. She pushes anyones button. Some can't take them 'coz she tells the truth. I like that she makes me think, sad, happy and understand this country more. The show will be boring without her. There are a lot of people who love her and her strong pov, reasons why ABC wants to extend her contract to 3 years. Rosie and her rep won't bite it 'coz of Rosie's statue in the media. She is in-demand and ain't afraid to move to move forward. Haters are just lazy. They just want to sit around and watch boring shows with no brains and wit and guts. This is what has come to America. When people starts getting annoyed to other people's view. Freedom of Speech has lost its way in American lives. I am glad its been alive watching and LISTENING to Rosie.

42It is definitely a respectable characteristic to say what you mean, and not be afraid of what people think after you say it. But is completely different when what you say is so completely inane and false. She is a sensationalist and unethical. She has constantly broken ethical standards as a "journalist." The first time she jumped shark for me was when she rail-roaded Tom Selleck. THAT was far beyond unethical. She has no integrity or moral compass. I do not have respect for someone that doesn't know what they are talking about, and tries to sensationalize it to get everyone to take her side, masking it under an "I don't care what you think" mantra. Hasta la vista, Rosie.

44I stopped watching The View after they treated the Girls Next Door rudely. Then I started watching for Rosie. It certainly seems like everyone is getting sick to death of Elizabeth....
