Salma Hayek continued her tour of Europe heading to Germany for a TV appearance on Saturday. She's been busy doing good deeds but switched gears for some costume fun — though she was at serious risk for a wardrobe malfunction in her traditional dirndl. Salma changed into something a little more formal to get back to business, but we're already wondering what she'll be wearing to accept her award at Elle's Women of Hollywood Tribute party tonight.

1What is she supposed to be?
2Just to explain the outfit: the show she was on is called "Wetten, dass...?" ("Wanna Bet..?"). As the name suggests, the show involves bets: ordinary people offer to perform some rather unusual tasks and a celebrity has to bet on the outcome and offer (or except) a wager. Selma lost her bet, so she had to change into the Dirndl (I didn't actually watch the show though). I think they don't want to be too hard on the foreign celebrities, so they usually just have them do something like that, wear a ridiculous outfit, sing a song, dance with the host, that sort of thing.
3I love the black dress, but the shoes do not look good on her, she is too short to pull these off imo.

29Don't knock the dirndl. It may look funny to Americans, but it makes you feel so beautiful when you wear it. It is sooo incredibly tight, so it gives you the most beautiful hourglass figure.
Maedchen is correct. If you wear the knot of the right, you're married. If you wear it on the left, you're available. Wearing the knot in the middle traditionally means you are a virgin, so I'm glad she didn't make that mistake!
