That picture could have been inside, but not on the cover. Honestly, its not just adults who see the pictures on magazines. I know that breastfeeding is normal and natural, but you don't have to see it on a magazine. Little kids and horny teenagers don't have the maturity to see things the way adults do.

Hate her..., however I think this is a beautiful photo...very natural. I like the fact that I can't see the details of her breast just a little hand (atleast I think that's what I see...)

Breastfeeding just grosses me out period, but then again I'm one of those weirdos whom everything grosses me out. I have a very low gross tolerance. This pic aint so bad tho cause you cant really see anything.

Martini Rossi, I agree that photoshoot was tacky - and not necessarily because she was pregnant at the time. I think it was on the cover of Harper's Bazaar. Or are you talking about the Esquire cover she did where she was naked from the waist down?

Not a fan of hers, but it's a boob. It's lunch, not sexual. So, the subject matter doesn't bother me. My 6 year old saw it and said, "look, she's feeding her baby!"

I'll never understand why people get upset about breastfeeding, or photos of. It's what breasts were made for, it's like their natural purpose - is the female breast so sexualised that women can't do it in public? Not only does that seem silly to me but it seems a lot like projection of issues to me.

No one gets upset when men's hairy nipples (or hairy butt-cracks, for that matter) are on display and I personally find that more nauseating.

This photo is fine - you can't even see nipple, so what could possibly be upsetting about it?

I thought it would be more shocking.. it is actually a sweet intimate photo a partner or hubby would take and you would put in a photo album.. though I wish my hubby had made me look that good...

I am also excited to see the entire photo spread. These pictures remind me of the "at home" photo shoots that movie stars used to do in the 60s and 70s.

We've gotten to the point where everything is so editorial now, that it will be refreshing to see something like this.

You know this also makes me think of what a comedian said the other night on Late Night with Carson. Why is it that you can show the entire boob but the nipple? It's not like we don't know what's under there yet the make girls censor that part. Breasts are gorgeous.

I think it's lovely. It's natural and really, I'd MUCH rather be on the cover of the magazine that way than some of the covers she gets that she has no control over.

I think its a beautiful photo. I have no problem with my kids seeing a mom breastfeed. I would rather them see a woman breastfeeding then look at a Victoria's secret ad.

it's a beautiful photo however, it's too much for the COVER of a magazine...

and honestly, I don't appreciate it when women breastfeed in public. There's a reason for clothing and there's a reason why we don't walk around naked. Now if everyone wants to shed their clothing and go au naturel, then have it at wherever you want! Not only is there a time and place for it but I also think it's a private moment best shared between a mother and her child (/and) family-not with the rest of the world.

Anya, How could you possibly hate Angelina Jolie?? She goes about her life trying to be normal and whenever she does have a photoshoot, all the proceeds go to charity. Not to mention all the amazing things they are doing in New Orleans and for refugees. I would bet that you would not be that generous if you were in her position.

pinkprincess is RIGHT... she just got tattoos... i wouldnt breastfeed if i had gotten ink. i don't know if that would be safe... unless she got them after she stopped. but other than that, i think there's nothing wrong w/the cover. it's purpose is to sell magazines... to create controversy.
