Britney somehow managed to dress herself in a non-scandalous way while out with her new man friend, musician Howie Day, in Beverly Hills this weekend. Rumor has it that the two met in rehab, and while there's no proof that this friendship is anything romantic, Brit certainly looks pretty giddy in his car on Saturday night. Hey, even the hat isn't completely idiotic. I've said it once, I'll say it again -- baby steps, people. As for Brit's inevitable post-rehab, post-divorce tell-all, rumor has it that both Allure and Vanity Fair are trying to nab the interview. Unfortunately, it probably wouldn't hit stands until November. In the meantime, I'm sure Britney will find a way to get up to lots more nonsense.

16I saw Howie Day in concert a couple years ago when he came to my college. He was drunk. He told a couple stories that didn't make sense. He started the show playing Ashlee Simpson's "Pieces of Me". He never screwed up his own songs though-- he's a professional drunk.

Anyway, I went to a school in WIsconsin and was friends with a girl who worked for campus activities. There was a rumor going around in the regional organization that Howie Day raped a college girl after one of his shows which is part of why he stopped doing some college circuits. Not sure if it's true, but let's hope it's not. Either way, she should stay away. She needs a non-mediocre musician, not saying that Howie isn't great, but he's not half as big as her.

Howie was probably in rehab for anger management. Rumor has it he's not the nicest guy. He once threw beer cans and a cell phone at some fans on his tour bus. Weirdo. Probably not the best guy for Brit to go to right now, but honestly, no guys are right for Brit right now. STOP ATTACHING TO THE MEN!!!! Be single again! But not party-hardy single.
