It's a bad day for celebrity marriages. Fresh off this morning's news that Madonna and Guy Ritchie are divorcing, David Duchovny and Tea Leoni released a statement that they have been apart for some time. It said:
"In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple has confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children."
David was recently released from rehab for sex addiction and was spotted at a street festival in NYC with Tea. We hate hearing about marriages ending, but for the sake of the kids it's nice to hear that they are keeping it civil so far.

If your parents don't live together, you'd think the kids would notice without a press release.
Anyhoo.. they were all moving from Malibu to NYC recently he said in an interview this summer on Letterman, so it doesn't add up that they have been separated for months. But hope whatever they are doing is peaceful.

6It was wierder to think that they were still together after his sex addiction became public and it became pretty clear he was not monogamous. I'm sure that they weren't keeping the seperation private from the children, obviously, but were trying to keep it quiet so the kids didn't have to deal with the media and US covers ect..
7That's strange, I didn't know that they had been separated that long but I guess I'm not surprised in light of the statements about his sex addiction. I just saw pictures of the family together over the summer in Malibu and they seemed happy.

13i think that it's a shame when you hear about the trials and tribulations of marriage. i hope that they are able to figure things out and that they are able to make whatever needs to be done work for their kids.

15maybe they were/are trying to work out it. seperation doesn't always mean divorce. maybe they seperated so he could get his life back in order and then work on their marriage
