Britney Spears headed to school today to pick up her boys with the help of a nanny and her dad Jamie. While she's continuing to go about her daily routine, her lawyers have been fighting hard in court to get her out of her driving-without-a-license charge. The closing arguments have been made and the jury will be making a decision today. Jamie provided Britney's strongest defense, claiming that the pop star considers Louisiana home, which is why she didn't have a valid California state license at the time. We're interested to hear how the trial will end up, but somehow we don't think the verdict will get a blog post on Britney's new website.

aww jayden is so adorable
1Go Britney
2The jury might not make a decision today. They only began deliberations this afternoon. From the reports of the closing arguments, the prosecution has a pretty strong case so I expect she'll probably get some penalty and/or probation.
3She looks better.
4lets hope she does not drop them
5she looks older than her age here
i have a feeling that they are going to let her off without the jail time since she's really made a HUGE turnaround in her life and has shown us that she's trying to make ammends and all that. i think that any jury can see that...and she did get the license - so it's not like she completely disregarded what the cops were saying right?

are you talking about Britney Spears?
7What she did in the year following isn't really relevant to whether or not she broke the law on that day. According to the People article, her lawyer didn't provide any proof that she even had a Louisiana license on the day in question, other than her father's word, and he was not a part of her life at that time.
The prosecution provided a preponderance of evidence that she considered California her home. It's where she got married, had her children, and listed as her residence in her divorce legal papers. She also applied for a CA license 4 months before the accident but evidently didn't follow through and get it, but that shows intent to consider California her home.
Plus she refused to settle and insisted on the trial, and from the jury interviews, most people were somewhat disgusted with her antics, so it doesn't sound like she can expect much sympathy from there. I'm going to guess probation and a fine. Probably not real jail time.
8cute!
9jayden is so cute!

@ the 1st pic!
11Her boys are so cute, they need their mom.
12I think she is making changes in her life. She has family around her instead of leaches, who seek to use her. I believe she is trying to stay on the stright. I believe she should be ordered to keep a driver because her driving stinks. I believe her driving is immature like teeangers with a car.
I don't understand why the stars will not get a driver. If Britney had a driver she could pay more attention to the boys while they were in the vehicle traveling around town since she don't get much time with them at this point.
Much love to Brit she seems to be moving in the right direction.
Last I heard, she's not allowed to drive with her kids in the car, or be alone with them, so someone else is driving when she has them now.
13She looks happy and that's great.
In a court case the judge will in fact look back over the time period past. A good defense attorney will be SURE to point it out, and a judge will definitely take it into consideration when determining a PUNISHMENT. It will not make a difference as to whether or not she's GUILTY. If she did the crime, she will be prosecuted for that regardless of what's happened since. The only time the interim period will come into play is when determining the sentence or penalty.
And that my friends is today's version of Law 101. LMAO
14Ehh don't really care what the verdict is. I doubt that she considered herself a Louisiana resident at the time, but whatever.
There's a picture on Britney's official website of Britney when she was young and Jayden looks EXACTLY like her.
15love her kids they are so cute
