Gwyneth Paltrow and Anne Hathaway were among the stars on the red carpet at the London Film Festival tonight — check out all of PopSugar UK's coverage here. Anne was joined by her Rachel Getting Married cast mates for their screening, while Thandie Newton checked out the scene alongside her husband Ol Parker. Gwyneth Paltrow went solo to support Two Lovers at a nearby theater and opened up about Madonna's divorce. She said, "You know, she's a dear friend, and I'm supporting her in all [the] ways that I can . . . I'm just here for her. I'm just here on the other end of the phone, really . . . I speak to her a lot." It's great to see that Gwyneth is being a good pal — even if Madonna didn't take her advice about staying together for the kids.

I love the colors in Anne's dress, plus she looks beautiful!
1I was at the "Rachel getting married" screening of the BFI, the lovely Anne spoke a few words before the screening (still in her beautiful dress!), and came back after the screening for a Q/A. She was funny, cute, humble, and she has this aura of intelligence around her... I think she's amazing, and terribly underrated!
2And she was absolutely fabulous in the movie.

4oh wow - anne is a fashion no no there. i can't believe that dress! not one of her best looks. thandie looks adorable though - i like her a lot and it was nice to see her in W. this weekend.

11I can't look at Thandie Newton without getting pissed about her horrid performance in W. I am no Condi fan, but she played her like a bad SNL character!
12It is not so much that I don't like the dress it just seams oddly, angularly, curvy... God, now I am confused. The long vertical stripe combined with the stripes over the hips and décolletage makes her seem out of proportion. Yes, that's it... she seems out of proportion.
13Gah... now I am commenting on myself... I don't think I have ever felt so violently ambivalent. Maybe it is the black background that is skewing the proportion.
