Chanel pulled out all the stops to celebrate the opening of their mobile art pavilion in New York's Central Park last night. Silver and black were the colors of the night on stars like Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Raver, Kate Bosworth and Karl Lagerfeld in his usual uniform. The night was so cold and windy that a pole fell on Kim Raver as she started walking down the red carpet. At one point James Rousseau sweetly offered Kate Bosworth his jacket and kissed her cheek when she looked chilly. She also laughed and chatted with Helena Christensen while enjoying the live music. Samantha Ronson's mom Ann talked to us about Lindsay and Samantha — more on that later — but needless to say it was a glamorous night from start to finish.
To see more of the party including Katie Lee Joel, Padma Lakshmi, Sarah Jessica Parker, Eve, Natalie Love, Zac Posen and others just read more.

I love SJP's hair and makeup . . .but those stockings make her legs look like a broken ragdoll. The other ladies look fab as well, I particularly like Kate Bosworths dress and shoes
1I was supposed to go see the exhibit today but can't
Hopefully this weekend... the "pod"
itself looks amazing not to mention the exhibits!
2I've never understood why he wears the gloves?
3I like a couple pieces here but no entire outfits.
i like sjp dress but without the extras
4I love Kate's look, even her hair is good (although very...different). She takes risks and pulls it off.
5Kate looks happy and cute. I like SJP's ensemble. I usually love Padma, but not feeling the outfit here.
6Okay, is SJP's purse supposed to be held by the handle or the strap? It looks awkward with the chains hanging.
7I like SJP's dress.
Mesayme, I read somewhere that Karl wears gloves because as a child his mother always told him that his hands were ugly or something like that. He's been wearing gloves ever since.
8Kate looks fabulous and so does SJP!
9Kate looks wonderful.
10i wish there were pics of the pavillion. i would love to go to this but not for chanel, to see the pavillion! zaha rulz!
11I can't wrap my head around SJP's stockings. Are they supposed to be baggy? Are they part bike short? Did they run out of black dye and just said "to hell with the lower part?
12I'm going to see this on Friday. I'm kind of excited. I hope they let us take pictures
13I'm also super excited to see the Elizabeth Peyton show at the New Museum.
14Kim Raver? You arent a star....
SJP looks awesome
15aww....Rosa, thanks for the explanation, that's sad. I'd make him take them off and hold them.
16i've heard all about this and it looks really cool. i'm definitely going to have to check it out since it's only here for a couple of weeks, but i'm a sucker for all sorts of unique art - and since it's a free exhibition - what's not to try!
17Eh, I don't really think that anyone looks great here
18What's up with the stocking, SJP?!
19stockings*
20fierce shoes, SJP!
21I never like it when SJP does high fashion, but she looks surprisingly good here. So does Kate Bosworth. How can you goof wearing Chanel anyway?
22Kate Bosworth looks gorgeous! She's a classic beauty.
23Mmm... Chanel. =D
24I want to go to this exhibit, I'm so jealous! Everyone looks great too (well, except that Kim Raver chick, yuck!). Padma usually looks fab, but not this time. I love Chanel and would die to go there, but really, I just want to see the pavilion. It looks absolutely GORGEOUS. Glad to see everyone is having a great time though. Lucky them!
