Madonna took a helicopter ride out of NYC with her three kids yesterday, returning back late at night carrying David in her arms. While she hasn't made headlines by saying anything too controversial in her past few shows, there's still plenty to be written about the split. Madonna and Guy Ritchie's divorce has been a huge story since it broke, so it's no surprise that they landed on the cover of Us Weekly.
The issue claims to have the real story about what led up to the split, and there's plenty of mudslinging to go around. Apparently the couple was fighting often, and Madonna would tell Guy that he wasn't "strong, ambitious, spiritual, or intelligent" enough for her, while he would call her "old and fat" and attack her singing voice.
The article also implies that Guy may have cheated on Madonna, and that he's already moved on to Kelly Reilly, one of the stars of Sherlock Holmes. Sounds like there was plenty of difficult behavior on both ends and there are constantly new stories about the state of their marriage, none of which bode well for their divorce proceedings.

4wow - well the saga continues doesn't it? i kind of always thought that guy must have cheated on her at some point - he seems like he would be different than the good guy that we always think of him as - so this isn't really a surprise to me. i wonder how it's all going to play out?

8Oh my gosh SO DREADING the inevitably constant reports whenever any legal step is taking or any statement made or either of them sneezes or makes a financial transaction.... Celebrity divorces get waaay more coverage than necessary, it will be months of stuff.

11Yep Madchen, that's Kelly Keilly. She's quite well known in Europe, but not in the US - it would be such a shame if she became famous just because of that. She's a wonderful actress.

15To be honest, we don't know if either side actually said any of those things - it quite possibly is just the tabloids trying to sell newspapers. Hopefully we won't get to hear the details from the court case either - will it be held in camera because it's a family law case? Hope so - the kids don't need to hear the details. Nor do we, the long suffering public....!

19agree with dbanner. the british press are notorious for making up stories. and no sane person would call madonna fat. i think the whole thing is a lot more amicable than the press is making it out to be. they want it to be dramatic for obvious reasons.
20A husband that is mad at his wife might say it if he knows her body image is an issue for her. I'm not saying he did, but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
21I don't believe Madonna would ever take the fat thing seriously. C'mon. The woman is not fat and I doubt she thinks she is fat or that it is an issue for her. Plus, isn't Kabbalah all about peace and not being reactionary so I doubt she is calling him those names. I do believe Kaballah was probably the reason for the split. It is very easy for the tabloids to make up stuff about people.

29I have to believe that Guy is the good guy in this one, as Madonna is such a selfish, disgusting, anti-loving wh*re. I've always loved her music, but seriously her political views, personal termoil and ridiculous lifestyle irritate me to no end. Yeah she's in shape, looking like a man... Poor guy, to have to lay next to that cold corpse. Hopefully they had separate bedrooms like most "celeb" super couples... Madge, good luck with ARod, way to ruin another marriage...
