Angelina Jolie graces yet another magazine cover, this time it's Italian Vanity Fair, and as usual the topic at hand is her family and their six kids. While most of you are looking forward to seeing Changeling, it's still the most thrilling to get a glimpse into the Jolie-Pitt life and plans for the future. Here are highlights from the interview:

- On working: "The kids are my priority, so it's possible that from now on I will make fewer movies. I may even stop altogether . . . I no longer have the ambition I had in my 20s."
- On her younger wild days: "In reality my life is a lot more chaotic and adventurous now. Brad [Pitt] and I pilot airplanes, we travel non-stop, we go to difficult places and we have chosen to do it taking all of the kids with us . . . I feel a lot braver now than when I was an angry young woman."
- On traveling so much: "Sure I am still restless, but do you know that my kids are the same way? We were in France these last few months and after a while they started asking when we could get back on a plane . . . I want them to be able to walk through a marketplace in Adis Ababa and not bat and eye, not think it is dirty and ugly, but that it just represents another part of the world and humanity."
- On marriage: "Usually people fall in love and everything revolves around the ritual of marriage, children are an afterthought. We did everything backwards . . . But sooner or later it will be the kids who ask us [to get married]. You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, 'Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you're not?' "
While we've yet to see Angelina take an extended break from work, the Jolie-Pitts always find a way to spend lots of time with their children and show them the world. She still has a few projects in the work, but at the moment it's off to Berlin for the family while Brad perfects his mustache acting.

Nice article, she's glowing and confident in her choices. Good for her.
1Ugh, bla bla bla bla. Please DO stop making movies!! Maybe it will stop them from wh*ring out their kids.

3Good interview! She's gorgeous and it's good to see that she has a sense of humour
the last line made me chuckle!
4Angelina Jolie and Darfur
By Nicholas Kristof
The Daily Beast, Tina Brown’s new website, has a slightly snarky essay about Angelina Jolie titled, “She’s Actually Smart.” It’s based on Angelina’s comments at the Council on Foreign Relations on Friday to open a panel discussion that I was on.
Well, of course she’s smart. I find the snarkiness condescending, a reflection of the general snobbiness in the humanitarian community about celebrities trying to do good work. The assumption is that if the tabloids have an interest in who someone might be sleeping with, that person is an airhead. In fact, of course, there are smart celebrities and dumb ones; there are those who try to rehabilitate a sullied image by feigning an interest in AIDS or poverty, and there are those who genuinely care. There needn’t be any pejorative presumption about a celebrity’s intellect or commitment just because he or she is a great actor. And on the whole, the celebrity interest in Africa and global poverty has been a terrific thing, and there are lots of people alive today because of their involvement.
Some of them also really know what they’re talking about. Bono knows G-8 poverty policy issues better than I do. Mia Farrow beat the news media in getting good photographs of the Janjaweed in Darfur. Ashley Judd has been to rural Bihar, India, to learn about sex trafficking. Ben Affleck knows Congo and South Sudan inside out. George Clooney has done more for Darfur than the White House National Security Council. And Angelina Jolie has traveled and visited with refugees and desperate people all over, including three trips to the greater Darfur area, if I remember right. That’s two more trips than Condi Rice has made.
(Note to stars out there looking for good causes: one of the great issues that is sitting out there, unclaimed, is maternal mortality — the half million women each year who die in childbirth simply because they are poor, rural and female. Oprah Winfrey has tackled maternal health at the edges, in Ethiopia, but it’s a vast problem that never gets adequate attention. So grab it!)
One of the perennial problems for humanitarian crises is that no one pays attention, and so these crises never get resources. That’s partly a problem of the news media, especially television, and partly a problem of politicians who just aren’t interested in distant problems that don’t have quick-fix solutions. But celebrities carry a spotlight with them, and if they can use some of that glow to highlight the needs of Darfur, Congo or Chad, that saves lives.
Frankly, if a celebrity isn’t genuinely interested in poverty and is simply trying to get good press, there are better ways to do it. Traveling to Darfur or Congo is dangerous, expensive and uncomfortable, and the outhouses have bats, scorpions and camel spiders. But if a celebrity is willing to put up with such challenges, he or she can get public attention in a way that no one else can. I once was on a panel where Angelina’s eyes filled up as she spoke of Iraqi refugees she had met in Syria; for anybody who was there, that scene was worth 100 of my columns. And ditto for her speech on Friday at the Council on Foreign Relations.
So let’s lay off the snarkiness. Until we have an administration that cares about these issues, we have to accept moral leadership where we can find it — and that includes celebrities who care.
5Angie is a role model for the next genereation.

7Just go away !!
well that's an analogy that i didn't really pick up on but i guess given the audience that we're talking bout - how it's the kids that are asking - it makes a lot of sense. i think that we all wonder when and if they are going to consider getting married - but it's not something that's a necessity these days right?
8it seems like she's becoming more---I don't want to say more normal b/c that sounds awful but it seems like she's embracing being more womanly & not all about shocking people. She talks more openly about their relationship & seems a lot more genuine. HOWEVER, I am & will always be TEAM ANISTON! I think them hooking up while he was still married is wrong & they get no Hollywood pass; it's wrong but whatever.....as long as they take care of their children then good deal
9If they get married it will be the end of them.
10I really love her interviews, and the way they are raising their child, no matter what people say. Viva the Jolie-Pitt
11I think she is fantastic.
12Blue, couldn't agree with you more my dear!
13Well Haute, it took people less than 50 years to forget/forgive Paul Newman for dumping his first with with three small kids to marry his costar, so if the Jolie Pitts make it another 30 or 40 years, maybe it will become a footnote too.
Sting and Trudi didn't get married until their kids started to ask about it.
14Angie is an intelligent woman and I am glad to see that she keep doing her work, despite all those who criticize her for that work .I think those people are jealous of her for generosite ,beauty and talent.

16Adis Ababa? point well taken Angie... I have to google that...hmm..
'Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you're not?' " that made me giggle. If love creates a union of two people...Why AREN'T they married?
17There is a woman who is dating for publicity so obsessed with Angie .
18What's the need to get married? I love this couple.
19Lovej2 I think you are now nominated as angies biggest fan sorry loveangelina, or maybe they are the same person
20I think she is a beautiful, smart and incredible woman. Go Angie
21These are the same things that she has been saying for years. She
22was quitting with Pax, getting married for the children and yet
the next day she goes on with her life the same as before. I will
believe it when I see her do it. She has already signed up for
another movie. It's a good idea and I would like to see carry
on with it.
They won't get married till they have adopted all of their children and the whole world sees Brad's "candid" pictures of them in a magazine and people are bored of that. Then there will be a "secret" marriage with exclusive photos! LOL, can't wait.
23...and Trudi was the next door neighbor of Sting and his first wife and kids...he locked himself out one day, she invited him in...and eveyone thinks that they're poster children for a perfect and admirable relationship.
i'm sick of these two, but the anger towards them will pass. it always does. and if they stay together, how they GOT together will eventually be forgotten.
24Don’t forget to see Changeling tomorrow.
25Angie, Would you adopt me?
26Oh Blue, you hit it right on the head!
Though, I'm trying hard to say something positive on every Angie thread. So today's positive note is that I support her desire to leave movies forever.
27I'll believe the not working anymore when I see it. There is an inherent piece of someone who chooses the acting/celebrity lifestyle that MUST have all attention on them. It's bigger in some than in others but it is in all of them. Don't expect this woman to ever go undercover for the sake of her children - she needs that spotlight. Craves it.
Sheesh, Lovej2, are you her personal PR rep or something. And are you the "anonymous" who posted that annoyingly long article on INO as well? Couldn't you just have posted the link?

29I have NO desire to see the Changeling. None.
30Awwwwwwww I to love Angie's interviews. The part about getting married was so cute. LOL I don't know of they should get married. I like them as they are but either way they make a wonderful parents. They make a stunning couple as well. Angelina just brings the best out of everything.
Pink I am not lovej2. I consider myself Angelina's biggest fan and I would probably be like Lovej2 if I had the time. lol. I think Lovej2 is doing a great job though and I already have my ticket for the Changeling. Yay!!!!
31"Though, I'm trying hard to say something positive on every Angie thread. So today's positive note is that I support her desire to leave movies forever"
mykie why do you have to say something positive you call a fake like it is just like you do on ryan p. threads, no one jumps on anyone else when they are nasty to other celebs
loveangelina i dont know she is giving you a run for your money, i like your comments better though
32Because pink, I've decided I want to be a positive person! LMAO
How about this, I positively hate this hypocrite! hehehe Does that count?
I like Loves comments better too. We totally disagree about Angie, but at least she doesn't get personal about it!
33LOL Mykie! I'll try out the positive thing too. Here is mine: at least her forehead is only taking up 1/2 of her whole face in that picture instead of 3/4 of it!
YAY for me!
34Great job blue! :APPLAUSE:
35This interview was only a 7 on the saccharine scale, whereas her other interviews average around 9.
36I'm jumping on the positivity train.
Uh oh, what did I start!?!?!?!
37bluesar and her viens arent protruding as usual, i like this positive game,
38bluestar sorry, mykie look what you done did, im waiting for someone to ruin all this happiness
39She's a b****.
40Only YOU can stop your own happiness pink!
(Sounds like Smokey Bear saying "ONly YOU can stop forest fires!")
41You guys rock.
42mykie stop and ruin are two different things, and i have one more thing to add she looks really pretty minus the tacky tattoo
43Good point pink, good point. LOL
44Confident and independent woman! Good for her!
45Good for her!! I really admire how she has grown into this truly beautiful person. Kudos, Angie
46You know, they see films and start asking questions. Such as, 'Why are Shrek and Fiona married and you're not?'
I really like this line, it made me laugh. Personally I don't really care if they get married anymore...if they got married 2-3 years ago I would have been probably been more interested. Now they have so many kids, it just doesn't seem like it matters any more to them. And I have a feeling that it would be the kiss of death for them...they seem like the type who waits so many years to get married and soon after they tie the knot, they split up.
I also have a feeling that she isn't going to quit doing movies anytime soon. There is no way they will be able to afford their lifestyle in 10 years if Angelina quits. I'm sure she will retire earlier than most celebs though.
nimrah_n: Thanks for the link to the pictures!
samherlihy: Good point. I've said it before and I'll say it again, a lot of beloved celebrity couples started in less-than-ideal circumstances. I can name several that were married and dumped their spouse for another person, now they have been married to their second spouse for MANY MANY years. I don't condone cheating AT ALL, but honestly we do not know ALL of the details about how this relationship started. Getting together with someone so quickly after filing for divorce from your wife is insensitive too, but guess what? It happens. My parents were married for almost 14 years at the tiime when my mother DIED, and my dad started dating someone (a sorta-friend of my mother's, in fact) only FOUR months after she died. Oh yeah, and the woman he dated was the mother of my school principal. But guess what? i've moved on in my personal life and so should other people who still feel like Angelina used her superpowers of seduction to convince Brad to leave his wife of 4+ years and that Jen is just a poor innocent bystander. Haha ok end rant
47Oops I should have said DAUGHTER of my school principal.
And to clarify: I know some of you (like Mykie, for one) don't like Angelina for other reasons that the love triangle thing. I don't know exactly what the reasons are, other than you think she is a hypocrite, but my last post was directed to the people who SOLELY hate on Brad & Angie for the "cheating" issue.
48Cali I'm sorry to hear that about your mother.
This may sound pathetic, but I can't wait till she adopts another child (to hear the name, see how she looks, etc.). And I can't wait till she starts taking the twins out regularly (to see who the look like).
49cali the cheating has nothing to do with it
