Britney showed up to last night's Sunset Strip House of Blues concert in a blonde wig, trademark cigarette in hand, but once again she performed in dark brunette. She's gearing up for a big comeback, but her unpredictable behavior last winter is not yet forgotten. Brit's dad has already expressed his disappointment in his daughter's behavior, and now her aunt, Chandra McGovern, is speaking out as well. Here's more:
"The family felt very disappointed in the way she was acting," she said.
McGovern, says Britney's infamous head shaving was an act of rebellion. "It was her way of running out and saying 'I'm not the pop princess you think I am, now leave me alone.'"
As for the future, aunt Chanda hopes Britney the pop star, will remember where she came from, saying, "Remember your roots, remember who you are, and don't let anyone ever change that."
This is pretty sound advice, but Britney doesn't look like she's ready to slow down any time soon. She did, however, complete her shortest performance yet last night- it was just 11 minutes! She must be tightening up her moves. Wonder what LL thought of that?

34I'm no fan of Madonna, but I don't recall seeing her dress like this walking around the streets or off the stage. It's one thing to have a skanky stage outfit, but it's sad and pathetic to not be able to let go of her stage personna, which at this point is all she has, since she is getting more cut off from her family.

I am a true Britney fan. I have loved her since the beginning. These shows are her practicing being back in front of a crowd. Her outfit is a stage outfit. She has made mistakes and been through a lot. People always want to find something negative to say.

I just looked at the other x17 pictures from the stage last night and what's sad is that she doesn't realize how bad she looks in these outfits on stage, next to dancers who are in much better shape.
Yes, she looks great for someone who just had two kids, but, next to her dancers she looks very plain and chubby.

I'm no huge fan but how can her aunt tell Brit to remember her roots when shes been living in showbiz over half her life now? What roots?
