Jessica Simpson flew from LA to NYC yesterday and was spotted this morning leaving her hotel. Earlier this week, she and Daisy trekked out to the desert for a sexy photo shoot, and now they're back in cold East Coast weather. While Jess has dealt with some criticism on her road to becoming a country star, she recently got some support from an unlikely source. Carrie Underwood, who is Tony Romo's ex and caused controversy saying he still calls her, recently complimented the genre's ability to embrace Jessica. It's always good to hear women supporting each other in the industry, so hopefully Jessica can return the favor sometime soon.

Not crazy of what she is wearing especially the purse.
1She looks amazing!
2Very beautiful!
Love the outfit!
Just some info. Jessica has more than once made some very nice comments about Carrie & her music. Listen to Jesica's interviews. This comment from Carrie has been a long time coming & it is her first comment towards Jessica.
Now I think both women & gossip mags should just let this alone. Both women have now commented in favour of each other.
Now I think those shoes Jessica has on a kinda cute.

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!
I think she looks gorgeous! love the entire look
4Jessica should compliment Carrie. She's been the b*tch she owes her one hell of an apology. And if I were Carrie, I wouldn't accept it but tell her exactly where to go.
5I like that bag....and the shoes are hot!
6only 4,000 plus to go the get to diamond.....i'm commenting on everything!
7good luck haute

9I don't think country music has "embraced" Jessica Simpson by any means. I don't think it's embraced Carrie Underwood either. These two women are pop-country and that is a totally different music genre.
10thanx Z....
11ummmm im totally not a fan but have to admit the woman looks great here.
12Not a fan by any stretch of the imagination. Yea, I can't stand her, but her hair is 98% of the time just lovely. Ken Paves is obviously a genius. I wouldn't compliment Jess at all if I was Carrie. Jess is an idiot. I feel mean today.
13Ugh....
14Her album is not selling well, so whatever she's calling herself, country or pop-country, neither is embracing her.
15i hate to say it but i think that it was just a nice comment, and there was nothing behind it. i heard her perform, and even though i don't like country - i can honestly say that i didn't like her doing it even more!
16""I don't think country music has "embraced" Jessica Simpson by any means. I don't think it's embraced Carrie Underwood either. These two women are pop-country and that is a totally different music genre.""
I'll preface this by saying I'm neither a Carrie or Jessica fan. But I am a country fan....
You're kidding about Carrie not being embraced by country music, right? Carrie has had SEVEN #1 songs on the country charts. She's only had two singles that weren't #1 and both were still top 3. She's won Female Artist of the Year every single time she's been nominated at both country music award shows. Her first album even won Album of the Year. She was also recently invited to join the Grand Ole Opry. She's the youngest artist ever invited. I don't think anyone not a country music fan can understand how big a deal that is. That's also as traditional country as it gets. Bottom line, she's most definitely been embraced and isn't going anywhere. Country music isn't fickle with their stars like pop is.
As far as them being too pop country for country. Have you listened to country radio lately? It has become country-pop radio. Carrie, Keith, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, etc.
I do however agree about country not embracing Jessica. Her first single debuted high (mostly due to curiosity and buzz) but dropped like a rock soon after. It wasn't even Top 15 and went recurrent before her album even came out. Her second single, "Remember That" (good song, btw) has been out for a month and is bombing BADLY. It isn't even Top 50 right now and doesn't have a bullet. I've said before that this second single's success would make or break her country career. Because it's a hit and if it wasn't successful, country music isn't embracing her and never will. It seems that's the case. It's a shame because her album is actually really good. But people couldn't get past the fact that it's Jessica Simpson.
17In my last post I said that Carrie's only had two songs that weren't #1. I just double checked and I was wrong. She's only had one. I forgot that "Just a Dream" is still on the charts and still climbing and looks like it will go #1 as well. Making it her seventh straight #1 and eighth overall.
18cute outfit, bag and shoes are great!
19Fat, ugly tranny. She so pathetic its barely even fun to hate on this b%@ch anymore. Stop humiliating your stubby little self and go away skanky!
20she looks beautiful and what do you know her mouth is not agape
21Her mouth looks weird in the 1st picture, maybe it's the lipgloss or something
22Love the bag and that shades.
23I think Carrie was just being nice. country music hasn't embraced Jessica. Most country musicians have to earn their stipes by playing in clubs until they finally get their big break and get a recording deal. They they earn a trip to the Grande ole opry with their talent. Jessica simpson didn't earn any of those stripes, she just bought her way into the country scene on cmt with an expensive, agressive advertising campaigne. That is what people who don't have any talent have to do.
24Popsugar, Jessica doesn't need to return Carrie the favour. She already did that months ago! Jessica has always been a GREAT girl with a heart of gold. LOVE JESS!!!
25I think she looks cute. I'm glad she's doing country now and I think it suits her. I will always be her fan.
