It was an exciting evening in Hollywood when Angelina Jolie showed up to hand Clint Eastwood the Director of the Year award at the Hollywood Film Festival Awards last night. Actors like Ryan Gosling, James Franco, Dustin Hoffman, Natalie Portman and so many more dressed up to honor their peers at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The audience was surprised when Angelina strutted out fresh from her recent trip to Afghanistan to speak about Clint. She said:
"There are some people in this business that are icons, and we often wonder if, when we meet them, they'll live up to what we imagine them to be. And Clint Eastwood in person is even better. Clint is what every great director should be. He is a great leader. And I certainly would follow him anywhere."
Clint returned the compliments as usual talking about Angelina's talent and beauty. With award season still a few months away, this is just a taste of what's to come and which famous faces we should get used to seeing on all the red carpets.
In addition to Clint and Angelina there were many more stars paying and receiving tribute last night. To see over 100 photos including Ben Stiller, Josh Brolin, James Franco, Amy Adams, Christian Bale and others just read more.

She resembles her mother so much with the darker hair.
1Oh look! It's overpriveleged hollywood patting themselves on the back!
2good crowd
3Look at mah man Bale being all sexy and honorable and stuff.
4I can't stand Jennifer Love Hewitt and I always think she needs a stylist (or fire the one she has)...but DANG! She looks fantatstic for once!
The oppisite is true for me with Angelina. I always think she looks perfect but I think she looks rough here. The dress is nice but the hair or something is way off.

6Angie has received rave reviews for her performance in Changeling. She will have an Oscar nomination, and perhaps win.
7Changeling will be on wide release this weekend.I definitely going to see it.
Franco looked really good...
8angie looks good
9Looks like a great crowd!!! Everyone looks really nice
10Angie looks absolutely radiant!
11Angie looks like crap for once - she needs to move away from all the black. Wow, that's amazing. Her hair is reminding me of that Seinfeld episode where the building's water softener goes out and Jerry and Kramer have wonky hair because of hard water.
Agreed that Jennifer Love Hewitt knocked it out of the park for this one. She looks fantastic.
Still no interest in seeing the Changeling.
12Jennifer Love Hewitt looks so pretty! Angie...not so much! I heard the changeling sucks. Sorry, no Oscar for her.
13Angie’s gorgeous, sexy, talented, generous and intelligent, Brad, you hit the jackpot.
14Angelina looks lovely! Kristin Scott Thomas always looks incredibly stylish!
15I love Amy Adams but she looks the same in every pic I've seen of her!
yay.
16I agree with Mykie's comment
Lovej2...are you kidding me with that JA post? GET OVER IT!
17I had never noticed that Angelina had such big teeth until lately.
18Some of her reveiws are good and some are bad. We went to it and
we definitely would have to go with the bad. We were just annoyed
by it and it drug on and on. We finally just got our coats and
left about 3/4 of the way through. Clint Eastwood usually puts
out really good movies but this wasn't one. Total waste of money.
Does hating the word "hater" make me one? It reminds me of junior high school for some reason.
19I'm with you Ames!
20I have said a long time ago that I would never watch another movie with Brad Pitt or Ange in it unless it was on TV or something cuz that way I am not paying for it
She is a horrible actress, i just don't understand who once decided she could actually act
and that notion stuck with some people? She has 2 ranges..pout and poutier..same voice/same range/same facial expressions in every movie she does. Terrible.
21I agree with Sparkliegirl--seriously lovej2..get over the JA stuff..what does it have to do with this post?
Also in total agreement with people here..I mean I can't stand Ange but i'm not gonna deny she's a beautiful woman..but she looks pretty brutal here...her hair is too flat..her face too gaunt or something..
rough
LOL, apparently the only opinion you can have of Angelina is that she's a goddess and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful! ha ha. No thanks. I guess I'm drinking "haterade." ha ha ha
22Joanna - big teeth and an enormous head. Perhaps figuratively AND literally? Hmmm...
23I have drank a bucket of "haterade" years ago..still hasnt' worn off!!!
24Right on Bluestar!!!
She's not the epitomy of beauty on this earth...God its just so sad that some people actually think she is!
Just wait, you're going to get a "but she's beautiful and glowing from love and compassion inside and out" kind of response.
25hahaha-Ames
there is nothing on this Earth that would actually make me see any kind of love or "compassion" in her..the only thing I see is narcissism, insecurity and BAD ACTING!
Now I'm gonna stop commenting as she was made pop's #1 celebrity exactly because of this...people who love and hate her spent too much time talking about her..so i'm not about to do that again.
26Don't like Angie, but admit that I think she is a beautiful woman, BUT she does not look good here. That hair does nothing for her, the dress is the same style/cut/color as 90% of her other outfits.
Natalie Portmann looks adorable. JLW (who I can't stand) looks great. Yeah for Chris Bale
27Puke!! Another event where the stars gather together to fawn over one another.
28How sweet Angie came out to honor Clint. Awesome. She always looks beautiful to me. She radiates beauty.
Oh and by the way Bluestar Changeling was amazing. Angelina was fantastic in it, but there were alot of great performances in the film. Lots of them, Amy Ryan and John Machoich (sp?), and that guy from Burn Notice, were awesome. It was a dark and sad film but it was amazing. I cried, I swear. It opens everywhere this friday, I saw it in limited release and it was awesome. So you should see before you judge.
29I don't like Angelina but that was nice of her to show her support for Clint. I am actually thinking of seeing this movie but it hasn't been released in my country just yet. When I see the trailer, it reminds me of a Lifetime movie, but to be honest I like most of these types of movies and so does my mother, so we will probably see Changeling.
30Same old, same old...
lets wrap it fast:
1.''AJ is a homewrecker!''
2.''AJ is a media-wh*re!''
3.Why isn't she home with a new borns?
3.''AJ is the most wonderful and beautiful human being non the face of the universe!''
4.''God bless AJ''
5.''Haters go home''
6.''Bunch of Brageloonies, we have our right to our opinions''
7.''AJ is not a saint''
8.''AJ sucks as an actress. Her Oscars and Golden Globes means nothing''
9.''AJ should do charity just for the US''
10.''Why a nobody like me whose also giving a lot to charities isn't praised like AJ?''
11.''Blahblahblah drugs, blahblahblah vial blood...''
End of discussion.
Next!
31You pretty much summed it up Juicylemon.
32Juicy lemon! wow.....team who? Not sure but yeah well said.
33One thing I wanna add that dress doesnt' suit AJ. But I still would like to meet her if I can. She seems pretty frank (too frank) but hey man she's one of a kind
34She does look awful in these pics, and I also heard her new movie was only given 2 stars and that was being nice. I will not be seeing it.
35Angelina lookes pretty worn out and drained, not her usual gorgeous self. She is too thin and lost weight way too fast after having twins. She shouldn't have done that, particularly because she brought attention to her breastfeeding with those pictures. Dieting too much while breastfeeding is dangerous, not only because the baby misses out on nutrients, but also because losing weight too fast releases toxins (PCBs and pesticides) that are stored in your body fat into the bloodstream, which, in turn, increases the amount in the milk supply. Bad for her babies; bad example for the public. Anyway, I think that rapid weight loss took a toll on her looks.
J Love looks fantastic - I'm impressed. Like seriously, seriously hot.
Bale is, of course, always hot. Nothing new there.
Back to Angie, I saw Changling and it's total Oscar bait. Not going to happen, though. For being based on a real story, the whole thing feels contrived and over-acted. I don't even think it is Angie's fault - she wasn't given much to work with. Just a one note character...WHERE IS MY SON! THIS IS NOT MY SON! I wish I had a nickel for every time she said 'my son'.
And no, I don't hate Angie because of JA. I could care less about JA one way or the other and didn't even really follow celebrity news back when that happened. I also don't care one way or the other about Brad Pitt. I don't care if Angie was a homewrecker or whatever - how many women in Hollywood break up marriages? A lot. No, I dislike Angie because she consistently parades herself and her antics in front of the press - from the blood vials to the weird talk about loving weaponry and angry sex to the kiss with her brother to the current tribe of ten thousand kids and counting and posing in third world countries. I don't think she's insane, not even when the weird blood/weapons/depression stuff was going on. I think its always been for attention. She has done a great job making over her image while staying in the spotlight, but I think that's more a testement to her beauty (and Brad Pitt's good looks) and the public's fascination with the coupling of two gorgeous celebrities than anything else. I'm interested to see what will happen once people stop caring about the newest Pitt-Jolie baby and her looks fade further and Brad starts to look (even) old(er) and people stop caring about them completely. What will she do then? Will they still be so *in love* when they aren't the center of the papparazzi storm, or when they begin receiving largely negative press (because if one thing is constantly true, it is that the media and public are fickle)? I wonder.
And I'm bored at work today so I have time to talk about all this useless crap! Yay.
36Idalia trust me no Lifetime movie is gonna send shivers down spine and make you cry like Changeling will. Trust me.
Benna give me a break...this a Clint Eastwood film and he has never received a two star review in his life. Quit lying.
37''loving weaponry and angry sex to the kiss with her brother to the current tribe of ten thousand kids and counting''
Crap. I forgot to add these 3 other classics arguments. Anything else that have been repeated 500 times in each AJ posts?
38Robert Pattinson and Kat Dennings look great together!
Angelina Jolie looks dull.
Camilla Belle looks beautiful, as does Marisa Tomei and Amy Adams. Jennifer Love Hewitt looks good for once!
Kristin Scott Thomas is great in I've Loved You So Long. That's the film she won the award for. I recommend it people!
39Oh and wow at Diablo Cody! She also looks good for once!
40Juicylemon - yup. She and Brad give all of the money they make off of thier personal photos to charity. That's key.
41So many cool people here, and lots of my faves!
42Angie looks beautiful per usual
Ryan, James, Ben & Christian
Natalie Portman had a nose job! YEP YEP YEP, look at her pic, she had it done slightly. She's reshaped her norse. I didn't expect this from such a smart harvard graduate but hey! I ain't a hollywood actress so what do I know about it huh? I tell you what though, Kirsten is clean in that department. Dunst is clear of plastic surgery.
43Ha ha jucylemon summed it up pretty good
44Of course she is going to support clint he lied and said she is one of the best actresses
Lovej2 seriously
Of course she is going to support clint he lied and said she was one of the best actresses
45Lmao juicylemon you summed it up
THIS THREAD is getting a bit a hem..uncomfortable, I'm out of here
46i don't know if it's just me but i don't think that angie looks good there. it's nice that she surprised everyone by showing up but i don't like her hair or makeup or anything. oh well. i LOVE natalie though! i'll see more of her any day!
47LOVE Angelina...I was not lying it was in this weeks reveiws in the paper. Get over it!
48And so what if it is a Clint Eastwood film, it is what it is. And I read 2 stars! And from a few of the members on here who saw it, that sounds about right.
49What a paper do you read Benna?
"Morons who can't review films weekly"
I think you shouldn't read that one if they don't know a good film when they see one. Just sayin.
