The cast of Nine have been spotted around London between rehearsals for their musical movie, but we're finally getting our first peek at the cast in character. Penelope Cruz and Daniel Day-Lewis got to work yesterday in the UK, sharing a hug and showing off their period costumes. Of course, the real fun will be when we get to see some singing and dancing, but for now we're happy to get a taste of what we can expect from the star-studded film.

Mesayme, back then it was called "frosting" and done differently than the highlights we know today, but pretty much gave the same effect (today they are more concerned with getting it to look more natural, back then the point was to look as unnatural as possible!)
4I like Pene better in spanish speaking films, it's like she acts better and more natural than in the english speaking ones.
5well i think that there are a lot of expectations on this one based on who kept signing on to be in the cast. i'm sure that there will be a lot of hype since DDL is in this and he only comes out in a movie every few years...

8Well today's 'highlights' look a lot like some raggedy 'frosting' to me. I'm sure I won't even watch this movie, I'm not a fan of Penelope's acting.
9Daniel! I absolutely love him! I will be seeing this film solely for the fact that I watch everything he does. Maybe this will surpass my expectations; DDL's acting is certainly enough to carry a film, plus he has a few talented co-stars (NOT Fergie, haha).

11Love Daniel Day Lewis! Marion Cotillard and Penelope Cruz are okay but I can't stand Nicole Kidman. She ruins every film she was in with her botoxed face and wooden acting. She is totally wrong for the role of Claudia, why couldn't they get someone like Charlize Theron of Kate Winslet?

My friend actually sold some of her vintage gowns to the costume designer on this movie. I know I will be dragged to this whether it looks good or not!

16fleurfairy, you took the comment right out of my mouth. I wouldn't be surprised if we hear of her man stealing antics on this set. Hopefully Daniel Day is happily married. She is almost as bad as Sienna. Daniel Day Lewis is one of my favorite male actors, so I'm a little defensive.
