Ryan Reynolds held a press conference at Tavern on the Green on Friday before running in the New York City Marathon yesterday. Ryan ran on behalf of the Michael J. Fox Foundation and in honor of his father who had Parkinson's for the past 15 years. The actor finished the race in 3 hours and 50 minutes and while we didn't catch a glimpse of his wife, Scarlett Johansson, she was expected to be there cheering him on. Seeing Michael J. Fox along the way was what helped Ryan complete the last 6 miles. Reynolds said, "[During the race] I thought a lot about my father and Michael and the 500,000 other people afflicted with this awful disease in the United States alone. I ran for those who can't."
It's sweet of Ryan to push himself physically for his family and such a good cause as he continues his activism he's so passionate about.

1he's hot - that's about all that i can say about that one - anyway i think that it's always really nice to see that celebs are taking action for a cause, not just for themselves and i love that ryan really had a reason behind participated aside from wanting to look hot for 26 miles.
