I cannot wait for the interview a year from today..when her record sales continue to lag behind her lip syncing sister and she has had another few plastic surgeries, and John is long gone having moved on to a talented big busted singer, and her "acting" career has tanked. And Nick and Vanessa have announced that they are having a baby or some such news like that! "Oh I am so fullfilled.. I am the lonely unsuccessful woman who shouldn't have let her father tell her to get a divorce and talk me into the fake boobs.. that I have always meant to be!! I am a second butterfly woman.. spreading my wings to fly into a "where are they now?" special" Perhaps blonde again Jess???

I think Jessica would pull a "Britney" if it weren't for her handlers having such tight control over her life.

I think she is the biggest joke in Hollywood. Close up her face looks so strange, hee lips are so unaturally large, her skin is burnt orange, and she makes clothing look cheap. She has really tacky style. She can not act and watching her sing is painful. I can usually find at least one good quality that would keep someone famous, but asking if tuna is chicken can only go so far.

i like her, but she makes it so hard, she needs to discover how to keep her assests to her self i've seem way too much of them lately.

I'm really starting to like her lately. I'm sure she's made her share of mistakes during her marriage but she's picked herself up and moved on. She seems more comfortable in her own skin now and more confident. She's transitioning into a woman not just acting like a big goof ball so everyone likes her. I hope she stays this way.

Jessica Simpson is a woman in her 20's, making normal mistakes. What really gets to me is that apparently as a woman you aren't allowed to make mistakes. If you do, you should be crucified for them for the rest of your life. There seems to be no room for redemption for women, and it's mainly other women weilding the ax. I guess some things never change.

i just cant stand her anymore after the divorce. she is trying to hard. No matter what she does she still ends up looking like a loser. although she hasnt gone to "rehab", gone out without her panties or got caught smoking up or doing drugs i still put her in the paris hilton/lindsay lohan category. trying to hard, loserish, and extremely unclassy!!

I don't really care what she does at this point or what color her hair is. I've read too many interviews with her that point to her being shallow and divorcing Nick for stupid reasons. I don't like John Mayer and the two of them make me groan.

But, if she's happy and drug-free, that's a leg up on half of the rest of them.

I really do not think people dislike her for getting a divorce, a lot od people have beren divorced and it has not stopped peoople from liking them, I think tthe reason people do not care for her is basically she really is overexposed with no real talent.

I am tired of seeing her since she never has anything worthy to promote. I hate her style, hate her singing and her acting is not even worth mentioning. I do not think she is a bad person, I just do not care for any of her "talents".

I don't think she divorced Nick because of her dad, I think she married him because of her dad. Getting the divorce was liberating probably because it seemed of her own doing. Marrying Nick and creating Newlyweds is what put her on the map. Destroying that image and trying to figure out where to go is what's messing up her career these days IMO.

I think you're right about her "talent". I'm not into her music at all, I'm a Mayer fan. His art and style are more my vibe. With her I just get being young and how hard that journey can be sometimes and I think women are hard on other women a lot of times. I don't like Britney Spears much either, to me she has no talent, her music is crap, but I don't hate her and don't want her to be destroyed by all the scrutiny.

Maybe it's the feminist in me or something, but it's knee jerk for me to run and protect the girls because I think sometimes all you get is vicious if you're a woman and trying to learn and grow. Or maybe it's really not that deep. Whatever.

lula, I know what you mean, I just think SHE thinks she is really talented, and that is what bugs me about her. She was young and fresh looking when she was married, I remember her hair blonde in a bob and she wore a white pants suit to an MTV gig, she was so darling back then.
I feel like where she fell off the wagon was when she was like "I"m so normal, fame did not get to my head like the OTHER girls," and that was when she got so cocky to me. Flubbing her lines on movie sets, messing up the Dolly Parton tribute, Dukes, all signs that she is TOTALLY overrated and she is better off as a reality TV star.
I honestly think Ashlee has more musical talent.
Overexposure KILLS a career unless you are very talented, and change up your act.
I am sure she is cool and goofy, but there a lot of cool girls out there that do not try to be in everyones' face just because they can.
Also, at the end of her divorce , I feel like everything was very calculated, ESPECIALLY the Africa trip that Nick did not want to go on where she bailed out early drom being "sick", to go on a safari. That was PR manipulation to make pp think she was so deep.
