Animal lover Katherine Heigl and her mom stopped by the Villalobos Rescue Center in LA on Sunday. She admirably brought photographers along to document the creatures' situations, but Katherine is mostly getting praised for her work these days. Both her film 27 Dresses and her recently controversial show Grey's Anatomy were just nominated for People's Choice Awards — Buzz has the whole list of this year's honorees. Her husband Josh won't let her adopt any more pets, but he'd probably be happy to clear space on their mantle for another one of Katherine's accolades.

that's kind of funny that josh doesn't want any more pets, but i guess it can be overkill right? i think that it's good for her that she's getting acknowledged for her work, even though she's had some less than wonderful things to say about her projects.
i thought 27 dresses was cute, but not really worthy of an award.

5That's really awesome that she's so passionate about animals but... Tigers bite.! She shouldn't get too close even with a fence there.
6I really like her, despite her outspokenness. I don't think she really hurts anyone by what she says, it's true that she didn't really have anything to work with on Grey's last season but that was her choice because she wanted some time off to do films.
