Animal lover [1] Katherine Heigl and her mom stopped by the Villalobos Rescue Center in LA on Sunday. She admirably brought photographers along to document the creatures' situations, but Katherine is mostly getting praised for her work these days. Both her film 27 Dresses [2] and her recently controversial [3] show Grey's Anatomy [4] were just nominated for People's Choice Awards [5] — Buzz has the whole list [6] of this year's honorees. Her husband Josh won't let her adopt any more pets [7], but he'd probably be happy to clear space on their mantle for another one of Katherine's accolades.
