We've already seen some highlights of the December issue of Vogue where Jennifer Aniston opened up about John, Brad and calls Angelina "very uncool" (which out of context sounds so lame). Now we have even more quotes and pictures of the actress looking stunning on the beaches of her home away from home, Cabo. The article is timed to promote her movie Marley and Me and as she has done in the past, the dog-lover poses with her adorable corgi-terrier mix, Norman. The article describes a woman who loves to be in love but doesn't need a man to make the happy ending a reality. She also has a lot to say about the men in her life and getting older. Here are more highlights:
- On her outlook: "You basically watch my life . . . It happens in front of you. And I can protect it and try to control things only to a certain extent. I think what I'm doing now is letting go of the reins a little bit and saying, 'It is what it is.' But there is more to me than just a tabloid girl. This whole 'Poor lonely Jen' thing, this idea that I'm so unlucky in love? I actually feel I've been unbelievably lucky in love. Just because at this stage my life doesn't have the traditional framework to it—the husband and the two kids and the house in Connecticut—it's mine. It's my experience. And if you don't like the way it looks, then stop looking at it! Because I feel good. I don't feel like I'm supposed to be any further along or somewhere that I'm not. I'm right where I'm supposed to be."
- On Vince Vaughn: "I call Vince my defibrillator," she says with genuine affection. "He literally brought me back to life. My first gasp of air was a big laugh! It was great. I love him. He's a bull in a china shop. He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together. And I needed that. And it sort of ran its course."
- More on John Mayer: "But you know, it isn't designed. Love just shows up and you go, 'Oh, wow, this is going to be a hayride and a half.' . . . He had to put that out there that he broke up with me. And especially because it's me. It's not just some girl he's dating. I get it. We're human. But I feel seriously protective of him and us. Trust me, you'll never see that happen again from that man. And it doesn't take away from the fact that he is a wonderful guy. We care about each other. It's funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize, We maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It's painful. There was no malicious intent. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that's where it is."
- More on Brad: "He seems…great? . . . I have nothing but absolute admiration for him, and…I'm proud of him! I think he's really done some amazing things. . . Well, it never was that bad . . . I mean, look, it's not like divorce is something that you go, 'Oooh, I can't wait to get divorced!' It doesn't feel like a tickle. But I've got to tell you, it's so vague at this point, it's so faraway in my mind, I can't even remember the darkness. I mean, in the end, we really had an amicable split. It wasn't mean and hateful and all of this stuff that they tried to create about Brad can't talk to Jen and Jen can't talk to Brad because this person won't allow it. It just didn't happen. The marriage didn't work out. And pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we've been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other. Whoever said everything has to be forever, that's setting your hopes too high. It's too much pressure. And I think if you put that pressure on yourself—because I did! Fairy tale! It has to be the right one!—that's unattainable."
- On Sex and the City: "I don't know. I don't…like…girls…whining…and complaining…about…wanting a man! I never liked Sex and the City, the kind of thing where women only feel empowered once they find the Man. It is just not up my alley. I don't believe in it. There is nothing you can control about love."
- On turning 40 next year: "I'm not saying I'm 40. I'm 30-10. I don't feel 40. I don't know what it means. I just know that all of a sudden it's something that's in print next to my name. AND NOW SHE'S 40. It almost feels like some sort of badge of honor in a weird way."

love the pics Jen. You go girl. I'm with you all the way on this one.
1boring
2I really admire her, and this is interview was great! A real class act.
3
4actually, i think she sounds a little bitter. and the quotes about angelina and brad...i think she's taken a rather negative look on the whole thing, and if anyone needs to get over it? it's jen. she admits that love happens. so does angelina--who simply said that the movie was when they fell in love, not that they started the affair. blah. whatever. i used to love jen, and now i just don't care much about her anymore.
5
I look this good when I'm turning 40 I'll be very happy. She looks delicious. Yoga
here I come, ha ha
6I so do not admire her. She's a cute, nearly 40 year old, who had a great tv career and not much else since. She wonders, in the interview, about people being interested in her life yet she's there for every photo op on Robertson Blvd. and at the beach in her bikini. And publicly proclaiming her love for John Mayer after it appeared she kinda stalked him first! What she says, in general, and what she does are 2 different things.
7I think people find it extremely surprising that a girl next door does in deed has opinions. It bothers people that she is not a dumb blond. She is blond but she has a brain. Oh what a surprise people!
8These are better pictures of her, she does look amazing 20 year olds would kill for that body, that was sweet what she said of vince, I find it funny that she is in the wrong for finally addressing angie and brad, I think that takes a lot of courage, maybe she is talking now because all the wounds have healed
9Norman looks really cute too! He looks really proud of his boss, ha ha
10love her ! and i loved the interview.
11I love her! I don't think that she sounds bitter. I think people want her to sound biter & people want her to be unhappy but I just don't see that. I see a woman who went through a divorce, is dating but it's all in the public eye getting scrutinized for every little thing that she does. I don't see the big deal. We'll never know the extent of the relationships she has. No matter what each party says, we'll have our own opinions but it doesn't change anything.
12Go 'head Jen!! Get it, boo!!!
Wouldn't it be refreshing if they could have an interview with her and there was no mention of Angelina Jolie or Brad Pitt? And vice versa.
But that doesn't sell magazines!
PS: American Vogue kinda sucks now a days.
13I love her, so much more classier then that other thing.
14That is the cutest flipping dog I have ever seen!
15she looks gorgeous!! great body!
16The pictures inside the mag are so much better than the cover - why didn't they use the first one where she is playing with her hair? She looks beautiful in that one
Norman should have made the cover-shot, he's so cute!
17she looks good- but why is she appearing so flat chested suddenly? I love the dogs collar. He is so nice and fluffy and clean looking ,too. Must have just had a bath. I hate it when dogs smell. That's disgusting. Esp. if they are in my house, stinking up my furniture and carpet *blegggh!*
18I agree she is bitter still and trying to hide everything with a younger man. She is so fake.
19Popsugar, you're right, out of context the "uncool" thing sounded very lame! But the interview as a whole is a good one, I don't think she comes across as bitter at all
She comes across as someone very nice and normal. That may not be interesting enough to
sell a gazillion magazines so that's clearly why they've latched on to the "uncool" quote, because it was the only quote, unquote negative thing that she said regarding Angelina.
I like the "this person won't allow it", very dismissive in a subtle kind of way.
20Angelina was a hoe to get with Brad when he was married
21I totally agree with you hautecouture! I get so fired up about this!
Regardless if Brad didn't "have an affair" in the traditional sense, falling in love when you are married to another woman is (to quote Jen) "very uncool". Just because you don't have sex with someone, cheating is actually worse when it is on an emotional level! I don't think Jen sounds bitter at all, she's asked these questions over and over again--so she answered! And what Angelina said, publicly, about Brad and her starting their relationship while he was a married man, is classless to me. Out of respect for his then wife--she should have kept that PERSONAL! And how is the paparazzi following her around in her private life her being there for every photo op?? She's being followed around!!
22Norman is the cutest! She looks very good in all the pictures. Maybe they are a little too airbrushed though. I like what she says about Vince and I agree with her about SATC - never liked it. I just wish the interview was a less gossipy - this is Vogue, not a tabloid!
23the whole interview sounds like bad fanfiction
24i'm almost a little upset about her take on SATC but that's just he opinion right? i think that it's nice that she has such a positive outlook on things, and i wish her the best - but is it just me or does she just have nothing bad to say about anyone here? it's just odd. oh well - if it works for her then that's great. she does look amazing in those pics though - that's something that i'll be eternally jealous of.
25Good on her - think she's dealt with it rather well, considering being in the public eye and having to deal with her divorce with the added stress of the press.
Angelina aka the Vein is constantly in magazines going "Brad this, Brad that, Brad loves my elbo's Brad loves my little toe, bla bla bla. She is constantly in the magazines going on about her private life. Sick of that woman and everyone thinking she's some kinda saint!
Angelina Jolie get back to your goth pit and ya knives!
She only looks half decent when she's had a team of make up artists trowling it on and hair stylist working on her goth barnet, she's hanging otherwise, with her rats tatts, spinster legs and her vice head!
Done
26Ditto Nayba! I agree with your 2 cents.

Oh no. Don't think that ! She's not blonde...
http://z.hubpages.com/u/95779_f520.jpg
Do you call that being blonde ? She dyed her hair, like (almost) everybody in Hollywood. So not original.
If you think about it, she'd better not be bitter about what happened with Brad and Angelina because that is the reason why she kept her 15 minutes going. After Friends, who would have remembered her ? Her film "career" ? Yeah. Right.
I don't have a particular outlook about what happened in their private lives. But I have to acknowlegde that Ms Jolie does indeed choose her films better than Jennifer. Mighty Heart, Changeling, the Good Shepherd etc. Don't kill me for stating the truth, please...
28I pray this is the end of angie versus aniston battle. Nough has been said, this should be the end. Unless the other party starts throwing random attacks at her of course. I think Brad will keep his mouth shut and Jolie too. I pray they do, especially Jolie since she seems to think she can say whatever whenever. She should just talk endlessly about her film and her charities and nothing else (that would be normal since most hollywood actors seem to do this).
29"Just because at this stage my life doesn’t have the traditional framework to it—the husband and the two kids and the house in Connecticut—it’s mine. It’s my experience. And if you don’t like the way it looks, then stop looking at it!"
way to go jen!! she looks great in these pictures especially the first two. like jen said, if you dont like it, STOP LOOKING AT IT HATERS!
30And if Brad's girlfriend is stupid enough to throw something in which could be read as an insult against Aniston, I'm sure her rating will go down in the public eye. I bet my ass on it. Obama didn't want Jolie or Pitt helping him, because people had mixed opinions about them. And those people who say brad's girlfriend doesn't care? Please.............she does! If her reputation is no good, the UN wouldn't want her doing the works. It damages them more than helping them. It is called smart PR. The same way charities in UK has stopped asking Heather Mills to be involved anymore.
31haha and i love nayba's comment. i can just imagine brad saying "oh angie, i love your big toe. oh angie, i love how your vein potrudes out of your forhead. OH ANGIE, I LOVE YOUR SKINNY CHICKEN LEGS!"
32I dunno, I read the whole thing in hopes to learn something about her that I didnt before but unfortunately I did NOT!
Geez this woman is so transparent, theres nothing amazing about her IMO nothing to admire. Of course she looks great for 40 - she works out every flippin' day, try working out everyday and have a personal chef and I bet'ya you'll look just as amazing.
BORING! blah, yawn - snooze-fest! But I get it. The only way this lady can stay relevant is if she talks about Brad and Angelina.
33the haters should get lost. they have nothing constructive to say
34At the very least she doesn't come off as believing she's perfect and has never hurt another person - she sounds real.
35Yikes - some of the comments here sound more suited for Perez's site rather than Sugar (though I did LOVE Nayba's comment). I think she sounded real and dignified and refreshing. I'm so happy she finally stood up for herself and said something. She has a safe distance from the situation and I think her perspective is great.
36Angelina is a million times more talented, generous and beautiful than this fake women...oh I am so happy blah blah...yeah right, why are you still talking about your divorce...you are not the only one who has ever been left for another woman. I also find it strange that she has nothing bad to say about anybody...than do something with your life oh wait , she can't bc she does not have REAL TALENT. I have real respect for her monthly Cabo cvacationing skills and her yoga body...ha ha.
37And her take on SATC..is she serious...does she get anything about that show...every single epi is about how unpredictable love is. She is a dumbass too.
Also if she was remarried by now, I am sure her outlook would be a whole lot different...so fake...
38Oh boy...nothing to be jealous about...for the record I hated Jennifer and Brad together from the beginning and so did all my friends. We were always like...what does he see in her, she could be my next door neighbor. It is sad when that happens.
39I totally agree with Martini Rossi (# 32).
And Bitterliberation, if you post on almost every single thread about Jolie, why can't people who dislike Aniston post here? It works both ways, I think.
40Also I never remembered Angie mentioning this about Brad and the fact that she even does after how many years, shows exactly how hung up on this she actually still is.
41How is this interview predictable we learned more and new things in this interview, you want to talk about predictable that's angie, sorry
42This interview is the best. And I never heard her talking about a man like she talked about John. It must be something powerful between them.
43Blah, no amount of photoshop can make her face look attractive
44Angie not glammed up is nothing to look at, people seriously this is childish
45you guys who are saying she is bitter are morons. she doesn't even say anything remotely bitter in her entire interview, and the only reason anelina and brad were brought up was because she was asked.
46i totally think angelina is a skank and any one who is going to trash on jen because of what angelina and brad did to her are effing stupid. It's like you're saying adultery is ok and jen wasn't allowed to have a freaking opinion about it. get real...
I'm sorry..but she is sooo annoying to me. But...She is a beautiful woman.
47face wise shes nothing to write home about... she has a nice body thatt she workes very hard on...the article is an intersting read, the same guy that interviewed angie for 2007vogue covered didthe anistion story.... and goodluck toher on mabley and me, she needs the hit badly, and does anyoneone if management have a distributor yet
48norman is so cute!
49wheres my troll spray
