The red carpet was fun [1], but the real action happened on stage at last night's CMA Awards. Reese was out to present Brad Paisley the award for Male Vocalist of the Year while Nicole Kidman left Keith's side for a minute to give out a statue alongside her Australia [2] costar Hugh Jackman. Keith didn't take home any statues but he did perform his new single to kick off the show alongside the hosts for the night, Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley. Kid Rock brought a new edge to the show taking the stage with Lil' Wayne on the guitar. Shania Twain looked simply stunning. Carrie, who showed off many gorgeous gowns, scored Female Vocalist of the Year, but the night's big winner was Kenny Chesney once again — see the full list of winners here [2]. The 42nd CMA Awards kept things fun, youthful and interesting out to perform and celebrate another year in country music together.
