A very happy Jennifer Aniston was on Oprah today to catch up and talk about everything that has been rehashed this week — the Vogue interview, how Brad's doing these days, and her Angelina quotes. Jennifer admitted that she thinks the cover doesn't do the interview justice (we agree) and when asked whether she's dating John Mayer she answered "yes." She also denied pregnancy rumors and chatted with her costar Owen Wilson via satellite. The best part, other than Norman, might be her talking the election night cake that John blogged about earlier this week. Here's highlights:
- On the election: "I'm so happy to be in Chicago. The energy coming here, you can feel [it]. It's just amazing. . . We knew it was getting closer and closer, and then it was that realization of 'Oh my God, this is such a historical moment. [The Obama cake] is not like it's my grandmother's ancient recipe from the old country—it's definitely a Duncan Hines. Don't mess with perfection."
- On the Vogue cover: "The content [of the story] does not reflect the cover," she says. "[Jonathan] asked me a question, and I basically just answered it as honestly as I could."
- On Marley & Me: "For the first time I'm not the girl wanting the guy. It was a portrait of a marriage, and it was just an important experience for me. I really loved every minute of it."The character Jennifer portrays represents many real women, she says. "You get to that place in your life and you realize, 'I have to make a choice,' because either your work is suffering or your children and your family are suffering," she says. "It's not just a happy dog movie. It really does touch on some life issues that are not necessarily fun."
- On her dog Norman: "I think Norman, having now been on Oprah and being in Vogue magazine, I think I'm cutting him off."
To see what she says about turning 40, love and Brad just read more.
- On turning 40: "I think [turning 40] is kind of awesome. [But] I'm still pretty immature." Jennifer shows off her age-defying bod in the Vogue spread, posing in a bikini. "That's [from] yoga, running, eating well and taking care of myself."
- On her love life: "It's a really nice thing to have so many fans and people that really care," she says. "I feel like I've been unbelievably lucky in love. It just might not look the way it's supposed to look at this point."
- On Brad: "He's done some amazing things in the last couple of years," she says. "I think he's doing great."
Jennifer's head seems to be in a great place these days and her personality is as upbeat as ever. Women all over imagine Jen being a fabulous best friend and it's easy to see why — no wonder John Mayer wanted to give it another go with this gorgeous California girl.

Oh lordy here we go again and again and again and again...
1She looks great can't wait to get home and watch thank god for dvr
2Just saw a brief video of Oprah interviewing her on TMZ and I have to say she looks pretty. I'm not sure what it is. Could be she's wearing make-up or that lipstick shade...I don't know.
3Why do people care so much?
4well i don't know about anyone else, but as much as i adore her i'm kind of tired about hearing about how she feels about brand and angie and all that. it's been YEARS since their divorce and all that and we know that it sucks to be cheated on but it's water under the bridge.
5I think she looks great, I wish people would stop asking her about the whole brad saga. She's just answering questions with these quotes, but it would be nice to not have to hear about it anymore.
6OMG, here comes the sh*t storm!
7Jen says "[Jonathan] asked me a question, and I basically just answered it as honestly as I could."
Why can't she understand that the interviewer asked Angelina a question and Angelina answered it as honestly as she could.
Jen doesn't want people to feel sorry for her yet her she goes bringing up Angelina's interview from almost THREE years ago (which is where the quote she referenced in vogue came from)
8I thought the quote she was referring to was from an interview a few weeks ago?
9Regardless I think both women are just answering questions that are asked of them; however I wish the questions would stop being asked.
She looks good as usual.
I watched this... Jen's makeup looked really bad, whoever did it... and the whole interview was odd IMO. I still like Jen though, I'll never be able to pick a side.
10Hey Molly, I heart your posts, but the description says "she doesn't think that the cover doesn't do the interview justice." I don't think that's what you meant
.
11"Women all over imagine Jen being a fabulous best friend and it's easy to see why — no wonder John Mayer wanted to give it another go with this gorgeous California girl."
You seem to have something on your nose there... looks like Snickers.
12I briefly had a dog that looks like 'Norman'...he wasn't what they they told me he was, he was older and not used to being inside. No one would take him, the neighbor didn't want him back so 'Tigger' had to go to the ASPCA. I thought the kids would be devastated... they were glad he was gone!
Hope he made it out alright. I, am still getting the pee out of my carpet! No dogs in my apartment unless it's a trained puppy.
13Ummm, is this enough Jennifer Aniston? I appreciate the break from Heidi and Spencer and LC and all those other pseudo celebs but geesh! ENOUGH, ALREADY!!!
14...and of course, I hope she gets everything she deserves from John Mayer.
15she looks so hapy on her love life i do think john is lucky because she's really gorgeous
16I know one thing, I didn't think it was possible- I have truly lost some respect for Oprah Winfrey.
17:boring: she is so meh
18Meh.
As much as I dislike her, though, I'm going to place a lot of blame for the current "pity party" theme on the interviewer. It's been years, and yet he couldn't come up with any better questions for her than about Brad and Angelina?
No wonder that saga hasn't died yet.
19AGGGHH
20Love her!!!! She looks great. I was so excited to see Norman. I think he is by far the best Hollywood Dog!!!
21ok- What you do not realize is that Oprah and Jen talk about what questions and topics they can discuss before the show even airs. I honestly think Brad reached out to her in reaction to that silly cover and Jen was making up for it by clearing it up and saying Brad was doing great blah, blah, blah...
It is all PR, and the Pitts are just so much better at it. I honestly think Jen and her publicist write half of , if not all of these ridiculously nice comments about herself.
Angelina is just so much more fascinating, and I am bringing her up because Jennifer Aniston herself did first.
22DreaAST: your avi says it all. McDreamy and Meredith... Mayer and Aniston alright.
23Words couldn't express it better than that.
she really looks great on oprah im watching right now, aand she played most of it off the angie stuff
24'Oh my God, this is such a historical moment. [The Obama cake] is not like it's my grandmother's ancient recipe from the old country—it's definitely a Duncan Hines. Don't mess with perfection."
Does that make any sense to anyone?
25She didn't look good on Oprah at all - she has got to be the only femle celeb whose closet I don't want to raid . . . there must be a friggin sweatshop in her basement cranking out a new tank top every morning
26I watched this it was great. Glad to hear Jen answer Opera's questions about Brad and AJ but she wanted to talk about other things...as she put it "that was 100 years ago" and she is so over all that
Good seems so happy with how things are in her life now!
27mesa pop obviosly cant express exactly jenns words that part just past what she meant was she was saying her cake that she baked was nothing like her grandmothers but like a duncan hines
28Not a word of it Mesay - unless thats a pic of a cake on the screen behind them and not just some subliminal Obama imagery
29Jen's life and whole career is now based off of Angelina, good job Jen, good job.
30actually its based on her work, but i guess angies is revolved around jenns since she mentions jenn more than jenn mentions her
31pink... wth did YOU just say?
32LOL
i dont know i re read my comment, and i didnt make sense
mesa pop obviously cant express exactly jenns words, what she meant was she was saying her cake that she baked was nothing like her grandmothers but like a duncan hines, duncan hines is perfection, sorry lol
33She really does seem like such a nice person and it's good to see her so happy. I for one am glad that she finally came out and at least implied that what Angelina did with her then husband was wrong, because it was. She knew that he was married, but still made the decision to disrespect their union and Jen herself. You go Jen!
34The cake was really easy to make was Jen's point...Opera could not believe that she had made it herself
I think Marley and Me looks like a really great show. She confirmed to Opera that is not pregnant...hate to disappoint Philly Girl.
35so over about this brad-angelina-aniston story! i still think brad made a bad choice, but it's my oppinion! it«s their lives!
36it's possible, deep inside, jen still suffers about all this, but it's her life and, propabbly, she just want people stop asking her about that!

Oh man, California girl. That's funny.
It was a cute interview, she was more open than usual. I'm glad she finally admitted that she is dating John. I hope it lasts.
Norman is such a cute dog!
I think she could be even healthier if she quit smoking. Just sayin'
38She has good vibes, i dig her.
39crystalvillage - In Jen's interview with Vogue, she was talking about the quote Angelina made about "looking forward to going to work." Angelina actually made that remark in January '07 in Vogue, with the same interviewer (Jonathan Van Meter?)who talked to Jen for this interview. I read the whole article and it was clear that she was talking about that specific quote. By the way, Jen was interviewed for this mag back in September I believe, before Angelina's comments came out about "how it would be cool for their kids to watch the movie where their parents fell in love." That quote was only released in the past couple of weeks. Oprah got her quotes confused and Jen just didn't correct her.
40When did she mention Jen pink? I know she talks about her family a lot. Come on Pink, more fabrication. Jen's life is following in Angelina's shadows.
41Thanks californiagirl! I haven't read either article so I was confused.
42ok angie is the victim jenn is the loser
43Okay, fine, don't answer my question.
44The interview was average, nothing special. I don't think Jen was all that pretty but I understand how it is with some people that idolize a star. I think Jen's behavior lessen the beauty she could have. I just didn't see a whole lot of beauty there.
45It's so funny how Jen's media team think they can change grown folks mind about Jen with lame talk. Facts are the same, Jen needs to get on with her life. I hope Oprah told her that back stage because I'm sure Oprah see through Jen.
I've never seen the appeal. She's plain and boring and can't act.
46Who cares, I can't stand her. I don't care about her life. Stop covering this beige person who tells women to be boring and safe and make bad movies.
47I love Jen Aniston and I thought it was a great interview...I wish Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would learn to be a bit more private because not everyone wants to hear about their fauxmance...I am SO over them and their publicity-hungry ways...it's getting to be little tiresome..
48I'm glad Opera had Jen on her show again...such a nice long interview. I thought it was great too, Im JustMe!
49Love the dogs but love lost on Aniston,Oprah and Obama.
