The boys of Milk [1], James Franco, Emile Hirsch, Sean Penn, and Josh Brolin, stepped out to premiere their movie in LA last night. They first walked the red carpet in SF [2] before the election, but Prop. 8 [3] is still a hot topic. Earlier this week, James talked about the close ties between the film and the proposition, saying [4], "Things [since the '70s] have changed, but with Prop 8, it shows that we are not all the way there. And if Harvey Milk was alive today, there is no doubt he would be fighting Prop 8 as hard as he could. It just shows that this movie isn't just a history lesson. It's showing issues that are still very much alive today." It sounds like the guys brought a lot of passion to their latest project, and maybe their film will open a few eyes when it hits theaters.
