I've traveled overseas twice to see my favorite musician. This musician is not Prince. However, he's completely unknown in comparison, and if even he has fans who'll fly halfway around the world for him (I'm not the only one by any means!), I'm sure Prince won't have any trouble filling the London clubs.

"Purple Rain" is reason enough for him to be a legend. Everything else is just icing on the cake. He is a musical genius (he plays over a DOZEN instruments fluently!!!! that's 12 different languages people!).

He is one of the best musicians alive today. The man can write songs, play guitar better than most "legends", and conduct his bands with a musicality that is unbelievable.

His talent is really under appreciated.

i agree Jillness...he's definitely a musician's musician (as my professional musician brother would say!). he hasn't been popping out the hits like he used to but his talent is undeniable and he has more than earned his place in the pantheon of great music makers.

Prince is definitely different. But compared to all of the other music superstars currently topping the chart, he is singular. He writes his own music, he sings rather than lip synchs, he arranges and produces his own music, he's an amazing dancer, he plays the guitar, he plays the piano, he's dynamic onstage and performs like there's no tomorrow. He is his own creation and not something a manager or producer created for the mass market.

One creates everything he does including writing the music for the instruments, production, singing and playing live and STILL manages to blow away the audience in the backrow.

The other mouths the words to songs (that are 60% sung by other people and digitally enhanced beyond recognition), and dances like she is sleep walking.

It's all a matter of what people like. Some may like Britney's style, some like Prince. I'm sure Prince isn't hurt that a few people from popsugar don't like his music.
