John Mayer has always been a talented musician and soulful lyricist, but fame can make that seem to border on melodramatic and angst-y. I'm glad to see him coming into his own with fame, sordid love life and all. And, he's hotter than ever.

He has been my favorite artist since 2002, and as my taste in music changes, his music evolves... I'll never stop listening...

Smart is (almost) always sexy, and John Mayer is so smart that it just oozes out of him. His taste in women is the only thing suspect about his intelligence ( LIzzie Grubman? Please.), but still I'll go with sexy every day of the week for him. But I am glad he got a haircut.

Candy, I've seen him live twice ( amazing). He's never performed Comfortable, but the last time we saw him, the girls behind me screamed "Comfortable" !!! before the start of every song. I guess they were trying to persuade him or something.

HOW is John Mayer one of the most influential people? Influential on whom? No offense to any JM fans, but I find his music insipid and vapid and maybe some other approprate words ending in -id.

He's being considered influential because he's working for the environment...his "Another Kind Of Green" plan, and because of the support he's been getting for helping other young singer songwriters. He's funny as all get out ( he even does standup sometimes). His blog cracks me up.

Yeah, why is it that he seems so incredibly intelligent, with an incredible talent and funny, but dates JLoHew and Chestica?? That makes him look like any other hollywood beach surfer, blonde highlights dude.
