Jennifer Garner supported Ben's Red Sox love taking Violet to the grocery store in LA on Sunday. The family had a visit from Ben's mom this weekend and Violet must have had fun playing with her grandmother while she's still an only child. From the looks of Jen's baby bump, the newest addition will be here before we know it, and while Jen and Ben are supposedly keeping things traditional, we're curious if they'll give Violet's sibling a name to match hers.

Cuteness overload!
1Totally ^ especially when V is eating carrots as a snack.
2she is adorable!
3they are both so adorable
4it's still so funny to me how someone can be so non-preggo one minute and then very preggo the next. oh well - i hope that we get to continue to see a lot more of them.
5So cute!
And good eye on the carrots...that is such a healthy snack for a child! The other day on NPR I heard this special about little kids eating Spicy Cheetos and cream cheese for breakfast, and I thought it was tragic.
6Its funny how she will do everything right and healthy, but she'll put stress on her uterus by carrying a 40 lbs kid everywhere. Ridiculous.
7omg,jen is a strong 36 year old woman who has had 2-almost 3 years of carrying violet and it hasn't been a problem, and a baby on the way.i'm pretty sure she can make her own choice on if she should carry violet or not,and if u didn't know-when jen goes 2 the gym- a lot of the time she works on strengthening her arms and i'm pretty sure from her ALIAS/Daredevil/ELektra-moves her hips r strong enough 4 little violet.she's a very smart woman ,mother, and wife, she can handle her kids without ur help
8Isn't she a little big to carry around when pregnant???
9gamegurl
there's no other way to say it, but you speak ignorance
(sorry but it's written all over your words)
I don't give a rip what she did in her ALIAS days, fact is she's 8 months PLUS pregnant and your whole anatomy changes when you become pregnant, your joints loosen, your hips spread, (because of hormonal changes) and FYI the doctors will tell you to STOP carrying other kids that are older after your 5th month. The pressure it puts on the lower back is tremendous because her body is ALREADY compensating for the weight being carried in the front.
And FYI #2
I'm not trying to "help" her raise her kids, It's A GOSSIP BLOG AND I WAS STATING MY COMMENT!
HELLO!?!?!?!?!
I found this also (if you need proof) babycenter.com
Most Doctors say never lift anything over 5 to 10 pounds after the 30th week of pregnancy. As the uterus expands, the abdominal muscles no longer give support to your back muscles so when you're lifting things you have little back support. Back problems can start showing up immediately or 10 years later.
M.J. Hanafin, certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner in private practice, San Anselmo, CA says:
You don't have your tummy muscles to help you lift, and if you don't use good back mechanics when lifting, you could get major back problems. In general you shouldn't be lifting heavy things, more than 5 or 10 pounds, at anytime during your pregnancy (which is hard not to do). Obviously a toddler weighs more than that, so it's not a good idea to carry her once you've gone past 25 weeks. Ask dad to help out and leave the piggy back rides to him.
------
There were a ton of horror stories on this web site from mothers who had very bad experiences lifting their older children and causing damages to their backs and uterus.
Also a woman said she ignored her doctor's advice to stop carrying around her 35 pound son, and started hemorrhaging in her 8th month. She had to be on bed rest for 2 1/2 weeks until they finally had to deliver the baby.
Another mother's epidural didn't work properly because she damaged her discs in her back in her 6th month of pregnancy carrying around her toddler. Her balance was off (because Pregnant women's balance is off) and fell with him stepping off of a curb.
SO PLEASE...don't for a second tell me there is no dangers in doing what Jennifer is doing. In this case she certainly is showing extreme ignorance especially when that kid can walk fine on her own!
10Excuse me that previous post was meant for Garnergal...not gamegirl
11I love how healthy this family eats, you can tell from all the yummy fresh foods she brings home from the farmers market. Violet munching on carrots sets such a good example, start them young and they'll love fruits and veggies.
Can't wait for her to have her baby!
12I completely agree with you, 39Views. I understand that Jen probably wants to protect Violet from the paparazzi but she can still hold her hand! There is no reason for her to be carrying her during this stage of pregnancy.
13How cute are Violet's little dimples?!
14Jennifer seems to be doing fine carrying Violet to and from the car, which is prob. the only time she carries her. All V.'s weight is on Jen's very strong arms and she seems like a very healthy preg. lady, not one with problems that would require caution. I NEVER heard a doctor tell me not to lift anything over 5-10 pounds after 30 weeks of pregnancy Of course I was healthy, if I had any dangerous symptoms I'm sure he would have said tht to me.
Maybe you should take a chill pill 39 steps and worry about yourself.
15More celebs should teach their children healthier eating habits, Cheetos are not healthy especially a big bag per kid. BTW i love baby carrots my favorite veggie
16i asked my doc if it's okay for me to carry my niece.
17he said - as long as i'm used to it - then it's not a problem.
i think it varies depending on the person's stamina and what exercise the person is used to.
i know some folks who keep their jogging routine thruout the pregnancy, and they're fine. and i also know some who have been recommended to bed-rest. so i think it's different per individual. i'm guessing she has checked with her doc as well.
I totally agree with sh12345. I mean, ye what 39 views said was probably relevant but it does vary according to your physical build - not everyone is going to get all weak and sick the minute they get pregnant, whilst some are sick all the time! Also, Jen and Ben seem like sensible people and I'm sure they get decent medical advice. I think its cute that Jen carries Violet alot - they seem to have a close bond and I see no problem with a mother wanting to enjoy every minute of her kid's childhood (i.e. the carrying and the snuggling etc.) before they grow up
18All I know is I LOVE the Red Sox hat! My boyfriend has the same one!
19thank u everybody who is on my side:)
like what daise said,it's not like there is a rule (that not 1 woman on this earth can hold a
child while pregnant) yes it wouldn't be good if u were out of shape or have some sort of medical problem but jen seems 2 be doing alright.
20little miss 39 views,u don't run the show here,although u r right,we r just posting little comments so i'll make this as short and simple as i can 4 u
and in my first post i don't believe i said ur name so i'm confused why u would make such childish comments.
have a great day
should she be lifting her at this point?
21Violet's shoes are so cute!! They're Elevens:

22i think she should kinda let her walk a little u know she is 2 1/2 she can walk.i am NOT a doctor so i cant say wat is wat but i do think she shndt b carrying such heavy load at this point.
23they r like the dimple twins soooo cute together
24laddies, ladies please stop the aruguing.
