Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stepped out side-by-side in London today for a Changeling photo call. Angelina opened up a bit about her mother during the press conference, a subject that got her choked up (check out the video after the jump). She said, "She was really sweet and was never angry — she couldn't swear to save her life. But when it came to her kids, she was really fierce and so this is very much her, her story. She was the woman I related to, who had that elegance and strength through just knowing what was right." Angelina also said that there are more kids on the way and that she spent most of the past year "in pajamas and coloring." Things will probably only get busier for the Jolie-Pitts as Brad continues filming Inglorious Bastards and starts promoting The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, but so far it looks like he and Angelina are doing a good job meeting up all over the world.

3Regarding the post. Brad and Angie look like a better pair than him and Jen. Angie is weird in her own way and so is Brad. Jen is too simple and I believe SHE tried to make it work when he was just gone along time ago.

I've been a fan on Angelina for a couple of years now but have never read or heard her say she never cries. In fact I remember seeing her cry when she was being interview about the refugees a few years back, can't remember who the hell was interviewing her though!
10ugh - i still can't stand her even when she's saying such nice things about her mom. i don't know - it's hard for me. i think that at least she had that great role model in her life to kind of shape her into the type of parent that she is.

It really saddens me that people can't help but pick on her even when she is upset. Yes, she doesn't usually cry (I remember that article you were referring to Mykie - it was the January 2007 Vogue I think). But "calculated"? I find that hard to believe. She was obviously embarassed to cry in public, and she gave that interview about never crying was before her mom died (magazine interviews are given months before being published).

18i can't believe people think her tears are "calculated" losing a loved one especially a parent is deeply tragic. my grandmother died in may and yes its been only a couple months but talking about her still causes me to cry. losing a loved one is something you never get over. have some sympathy people.

Angelina seems quite genuine to me. Losing a mother at any age is devastating and it must be so sad to think that her mom never got to see the twins.
30Wow, I just read up the thread and it seriously blows my mind how invested some are in making sure they stay the course where the Angie dislike is concerned. I just don't know how to deplore someone so much that even compassion is kicked to the curb in favor of holding them to some statement I'm pretty certain was made when nothing strong enough to warrant tears threatned. A mom dying has a way of hammering to smithereens all that "I never cry" _hit, and tat includes Angie.

She looks so goth and her head looks like it's too big for her body. Her face just looks drawn and not pretty at all. (at least to me anyway). Brad does look pretty bad. About her mother... I heard this from someone I really care and lost her mother "It comes in waves..." Angelina's mother was in the hospital and they pretty much "were ready" but like my friend said "It comes in waves... you will always miss, you will always find something that its gonna make you cry. One moment you are good and then it hurts... it comes in waves".

38deba i agree... like i said in an earlier post my grandma died in may and we knew it was coming she had been very sick for a couple years. day to day i am fine... i live my life but every once in a while something will strike a cord and you just get said. it comes in waves is the perfect way to describe it. i love angelina i think she is an amazing person and i really dont understand the hate people have for her.

No way - those tears were real. I think she's a very emotional person and while she doesn't like to show it, it comes out once in awhile.
45Her interview was heartfelt. Everytime I see a picture of Brad all I see is Howard Hughes. Please tell me his stache is for a role? Please? Angie is beautiful but she's gotten too thin again, it must be difficult for her to keep the weight on because she seems to bounce back to this size, whether she likes it or not.

48Such harsh comments and all about their looks! I find that sad as I think they are both beautiful on the inside too. When she spoke about her mom, it was so heartfelt and honest. They are a great couple, I love them!
