PETA just loves crossing the line and invading personal space . This is really a shame because it is counterproductive to the cause. I used to support PETA, but who can get behind this. It was just flour but god only knows how panicked you might feel when a group of strangers dump an unknown substance on you.

that really is priceless - the look on her face. you never go out with the thought in your mind that something like this would happen. i'm all for what PETA stands for but their tactics are still just a bit lost on me.

Well i just saw their pics from their outing last night,and they both looked so happy.Laughing and smiling,returning to their hotel after having dinner,holding hands.As for the flour pic,she actually says Oh my god,and looked very shaken.But i guess for many people thats their way of having fun.

PETA is crazy, it’s alright to be passionate about a cause but the things they sometimes do to people are horrible. Fur is bad, true, but unfortunately some ppl like them - and they should have the right to wear it. Just like leather and snake skin.

I've been really proud of Lindsey lately. I feel so bad that this happened to her. I don't care if it was just flour, it must have been humiliating. Just because someone does something you don't agree with, that doesn't give you the right to treat them inferior. What that person did to Lindsey makes them no better than people that wear fur/leather, etc.

I am a proud vegetarian and big advocate of animal rights. Obviously, I don't believe in fur. However, as much as I love animals, how can anyone justify treating a person like that? PETA needs to consider the ethical treatment of people and maybe would take their cause more seriously.

PETA is definitely not winning anyone over with these antics.

I too don't believe in animal cruelty, but PETA needs to find more civil ways of advocating their beliefs. With these stunts, they come across as annoying, irritating little brats. They are doing a dis-service to their original cause and seem a bit whacko with these acts.

remember in satc when samatha got hit with red paint for wearing fur and all she said was "god i love new york". everyone is entitled to their opinion. but this makes peta look bad, and samatha's comment about peta was not great.

I don't think that activist really thought this through, because I'm pretty sure Lindsay Lohan doesn't associate getting white stuff shot in her face with punishment. I'm surprised Lindsay didn't ask this chick for her phone number or drop to her knees and look around for the rest of the circle.

Anyone who wears fur in this day and age needs to be taken out into the woods and dealt with (just so they can feel the panic an animal does before it faces horrific, barbaric abuse)....however.....

PETA ~ needs to get a grip. Their tactics are silly, insulting and not indicative of what they really should be standing for.

A. I have no problem with killing animals. B. Always people before animals, especially animals who aren't pets.

I am for the "ethical" treatment of animals before slaughter and respect for out ecology. Which means I don't think anyone should be so selfish as to slaughter 100's of tiny animals for one fur coat (unless those animals reproduce like bunnies or rats) and I don't think someone should lock a cow in a cell for life, just to eat veal.

I love angora and alpaca and leather. I don't think that is a harm to the environment or destruction/extinction of a species and environment. I eat wild caught fish and cheese from farms where cows graze. There are ways to ethically treat animals and respect the environment, while using them as resources. My cat isn't vegan and neither am I. PETA has gone to extreme from the days when I supported them.

ahahahahahahah I think this is hilarious. Lindsay deserved it. Wearing fur is really wrong. I've seen the videos of the cruelty that occurs in fur farms and where raccoon dogs have their feet cut off and skins ripped from their bodies only to be dumped still breathing onto a pile of other skinned animals.

None of this stuff would be illegal in the countries we live in so why buy a product which is the result of something considered truly horrific and illegal in the nation you belong to?

People that wear fur are heartless - killing for survival (food) is one thing but killing for vanity is inexcusable.

I think it's ironic that someone considers this (throwing flour at Lindsay) barbaric but animals being skinned while they're still alive is not.
