Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer went out for a romantic dinner at the Sunset Towers last night, but they weren't the only celebrity couple dining at the newest hotspot. The on-again couple ran into Nicole Richie out with Joel Madden and the foursome quickly started chatting it up. Jennifer sat down right across from Nicole and the girls were seen having an animated conversation while the boys hung out. Oh to be a fly on the wall for that conversation — how fun. There's always room for new celebrity couple friends and who knows, maybe Nicole and Joel will earn an invite to the next star-studded house party.

1that's an interesting mix, but i guess if you're both celebrities in a place, then there's nothing wrong with striking up a conversation right? i would think that john has more to talk about with joel than jen and nicole, but oh well
2And what does jen and nicole possibly have in common? Nicole has grown up yes, but aniston is turning 40, what the hell is she doing hanging with kids half her age?
3Or maybe she can not not say hello, it would have been rude otherwise I guess.

9I go into a restaurant. I see someone I know and who knows me even if it's just in passing. We chat superficially, nothing big, nothing heavy. We're all adults even if there's a decade or so seperating us. So far I'm not finding a problem.

But now I'm on pins and needles wondering what they heck they had for breakfast this morning. And where is their kid? Don't these people know how to prepare a meal?

23Oh my gosh, they aren't bff, Jen and John just ran into Nicole and Joel. That makes her desperate? I'd say it makes her polite and friendly. Should she have refused to talk to Nicole since Nicole is younger? Yeah, I'm sure that would have gone over well on the blogosphere.

Wow, people will find fault in anything! Hollywood's a small world, and I wouldn't be surprised if they knew each other in a friend-of-a-friend kind of way - there's nothing wrong with them being pals! I'm about Nicole's age, and I have friends ranging from early 20's to 40's and above - you could miss out on great friendships if you restrict yourself the way that some are suggesting that Jen should. If anything, I think that it speaks well of her that they hit it off.
26It is very narrow minded to think that you can't associate with people young or older than you. Nothing wrong with saying hello to people you know when you run into them either, IMO. Jen and John both look great!

33One of the things I find extremely embarrassing is when someone "bumps" into you (or you bump into them) & immediately cries out your name, ask how you & your family are, what SHE & HER FAMILY are doing, etc. - And you try so HARD to REMEMBER WHO THE HELL IS GUSHING AT YOU; HOW THEY KNOW YOU SO WELL... You're polite & gush back then breathe a sigh of relief when they finally leave, all the while having NO IDEA WHO IT WAS WHO KNOWS YOU.
That's happened to me a few times; so damn unsettling & it stays with me for weeks - WHO WAS THAT?! Has that happened to anyone here? Just wondering...
Lastly - Is it just me, or does JM look like a washed out Orlando Bloom? I'm sure Orlie did this look, like, last year. Around the time the rags were linking him to Jen...
Oh well, doesn't matter, really... Just thought why not look like he used to: with longer hair. Even Orlando's let his hair grow out.

I think jen attractive to over confident man cause she is shy..opposite attract..she seem more guarded in media but more warm and easy to approach when you know her..there is more people (family and friends,even x-in law) love her in her real life than jolie ..who only have limited..this is proof that aniston is more real..jolie might win the popularity contest from her fans but not in real life..she do not have female best friend..but she great with children..seem from outside..
