Paris looked pretty ridiculous biking through Runyon Canyon in a sequins tank yesterday. She's obviously enjoying her pre-jail freedom, though now some are saying she may not have to serve her full sentence. The California jails are already overcrowded and according to a spokesperson from the sheriff's office a lesser offender like Paris could only have to serve half her time. For instance, the detention center Paris is set to report to let Michelle Rodriguez go after serving a few hours of her 60 day sentence for the same offense. Even after yesterday's statement about her sentence, we bet that is music to Paris' ears.

14It isn't at all because she's a celebrity. I've worked at the public defender's office (currently a law student) and have to say, it's VERY typical for any misdemeanor convictions to be discharged after serving half - 3/4th time with good behavior. On the side, I totally agree with Kendalheart.

21Apparently the judge said she must serve her full sentence, so getting out early is out of the question. Unlike Rodriguez, her sentence requires her to do the full time. As well, it will be extremely difficult to appeal.

She doesn't pull a Lindsay or a Cameron Diaz by stating that they freaking hate the paparazzi and then go for photo-ops. Go to X17 or Splash Video to see the paparazzi camping outside her house and then follow her while she's riding her bike with her trainer. They wouldn't even let her drive the bike. 33uhhhh...i hate this chic. I mean 45 days in a celebrity jail is not going to kill her. I mean with her going to Governor Arnold and trying to get her stuff fixed is just so wrong. 34didnt i freakin call this? they are letting drug offenders off with weekends and non violent criminals out before the minimum portion of their sentence is served. but paris hilton gets a month and a half for what is not even considered a dui? this whole "she is going to learn her lesson" is crap, everyone keeps telling her she is the victim. if that judge and prosecutor wanted her to learn a lesson they would strap her into a wheelchair for a couple weeks to have her really understand what can really happen when you drink and drive.
