Grey's jumped the shark and the only reason I watch still is so I know what people are talking about

I'm excited for something new...and if the show bombs she can always go back to Grey's...it's not like they are killing her off.

While I'm sure it was in ABC's best interests, it was a stupid idea to combine the pilot w/a regular episode of Grey's - especially an episode with such an explosive ending when Meredith's dad went ballistic on her! It was totally jarring to go back and forth between LA (?) and Seattle.....and to lay the groundwork on characters I don't care about yet.

For me, Grey's pulled an all-time low with the February sweeps ferryboat disaster. It was too clumsy of a plot device....and OF COURSE we *all* knew that whiny Meredith wasn't just gonna kick the bucket. Now they're screwing around with the Mer/Der relationship. ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!

I also wish the writers would refer to the "Intern exam" by it's REAL name - the USMLE Step 3 (United States Medical Licensing Examination - Step 3). How about a little viewer education???

I haven't followed Grey's past the 2nd ep of season 1... but Taye Diggs in a spinoff? I'll try my best. Now *he's* McDreamy!

i cant wait for the show, personally i loved the 2 hr episode and thought all the characters were good for private practice. i'll watch greys and private practice for sure in the fall

I will watch the new show because I want it to be successful for Taye Diggs' sake. Poor dude cannot keep a tv show on the air. I actually liked Kevin Hill! I think Taye is super talented and deserves some success. I didn't mind the 2 hour episode. I didn't love it, but it kept my attention.

In the beginning, I hated Addison's character but towards the beginning of this season I began to root for her a little bit. And I loved the motherly role that she began to fill in the show. I am not sure I will love the spinoff as much as Grey's but I will definitely tune in for the opener.

I"ll probably give it a chance, but I get bored easily. Not sure I'm in it for the ling haul. Taye Diggs is the kiss of death for a show, so there probably won't be a long haul.

I liked the spin-off. It was more grown-up yet very playful. While the characters still seemed unbeleivable; don't you just love Hollywood. This feels like a vehicle that I can watch at 35 years old and not feel silly.

i agree! even though i like addison, i can't watch the show anymore because that is not how a residency is run. i know it's a fictional drama, but come on! scrubs is fictional, too, but much more true to medical life. plus, i'm irritated that they teased us with a mcsteamy romance and didn't deliver. booooo!

Geno, I don't watch Grey's either, but the three episodes I watched, I liked her better than the protagonist..
however, I'm over with all series

Also, Taye Diggs seems to be the kiss of death for anything he touches (other than Stella) so this should be interesting. I will not be watching it though.

It looked interesting. Good cast. But a few too many California cliches. Is there any chance Grey will change hospitals, because she is so whiney!

I feel the same way as Pop. The show hasn't been good at all this season, but I still watch anyway for some reason. I ended up fast forwarding thru the segments from Private Practice when it was on that Grey's episode, so no, I won't be watching that show.
