Sheryl Crow announced today on her website that she's adopted a little boy. She doesn't really go into many details except for the fact that he is two weeks old and "His name is Wyatt (after my dad) Steven (after my little brother and Scooter) and we are enjoying some very private family time." How perfect is it that her little one arrived just in time for Mother's Day? We're sure that we'll hear more about him soon. Congrats to Sheryl and her family!

i think its really great, i applaud anyone who is willing to open up their home to a child who is not their blood and able to love that child, now the interesting thing will be to see if anyone accuses her of doing this for attention, considering that no one knew or most likely cared about this and she chose to announse it when she should be bussy bonding with the kid, because we all know if someone else had done this they would be accused of all sorts, anyway i wish her and the kid well.
Good for her! Hopefully she'll be a great mom.
I'm curious about where the baby's from, if she went outside the country like a lot of celebs or what.
Well good for her but I was thinking the same thing emososays17.
This is awesome! Good for her! I really like her. But, I can't resist making at least one joke...hope she uses more than one baby wipe when she's changing those diapers...
There are a lot of reasons to go out of country to adopt children. One of the main reasons is because you can get a baby much quicker then in America. My family has done foster care my whole life, and there were families waiting 12 years for a baby, and most of them did not get infants. One family had three different babies come in to the home and three times they had the mothers change their mind. That does not happen when you adopt out of the country.

Yay for Sheryl!
She'll be such a great mommy!
The baby is only two weeks old? Was that a really fast adoption or I wonder if she had some sort of secret agreement with the adoption agency that as soon as the birth mother give birth, it would become her son.
*gave birth
Diya, when a you are allowed to adopt you get the infant right away, once it is your turn of course.
Either way, good for her and happy Mother's Day.
Thanks cine_lover, I didn't know that. I always thought they the adoption agency have a list of kids waiting to be adopted ahead of time and that's how the process happens.
Diya that is older children not infants. Unfortunately a lot of kids are not up for adoption until they are older for various reasons. And by then no one wants them,so there is a long list of older children up for adoption.
That's wonderful!
Congrats to Sheryl
I love how she announced it on her website/blog.Then the mags got ahold of the story. The baby is an American baby-just two weeks old.She will be a great Mommy -wishing her and her little one all the happiness in the world. What a precious bundle of joy for Mother's Day!! Yahoo for Sheryl!!!See you can keep things quiet if you want to do so...
Congratulations to her!
I applaud her adopting American. She probably realized she wasn't the marrying kind but still really wanted kids. I think that's great.
Is he African?? LMAO.
Congrats to Sheryl & Happy Mother's Day!
Awww,I am so happy for her!She deserves the best, after all she has been thru, another leading lady opening the door for single moms,Congrats to her and the baby!!!Luv ya' !!! =)
Congrats to her, she has it on her web site, the baby is 2 weeks old, I wonder how long the process took? I know shes thrilled
I'm sure she'll be a good mother, but the sudden rash of people, both celebrity and noncelebrity, who are single, adopting is bothersome to me. First of all, I didn't think it was legal in this country. Second, of all I think kids need a Mom and a Dad. I know people get divorced, some women are abandoned, some don't want the father involved, some abused women have to run for their lives -- some things can't be helped. But I think you should at least TRY to give a child two parents.
Some celebrities, Sheryl has always impressed me, but others seem to be people who bought everything on earth to fill up a hole in themselves and lacking anything else to buy, buy people.
Like Brad and Angelina, I admire her work and that they wanted to adopt a less fortunate child. But they have four now! Can't they enjoy their kids before getting another one? What happens to those kids when their infatuation with each other ends? I don't think people take having children seriously enough. It's like, "I got the cash, let's start a collection." They may have the best of intentions but I wonder how four very young kids will fair with parents who can't stop jetsetting for a microsecond.
I think any couple who has a child together can't predict the future and what will happen later on, so in that sense, every couple takes a risk when they decide to raise a child together.
Good for her!
Congrats to Sheryl..what wonderful news!!
Good job! We've got another Angelina here.
No we don't have another AJ here! They are different people and she is a single mum. I think Aniston will be adopting next. I think her friend will show her what a joy it is to be a mum
Jen's family includes her friends more than her blood. I hope Aniston will adopt
eventually.
And yes I wish Sheryl's baby a long health life with her.
I'm happy for her and the little one.
thats nice..
aniston to adopt, that is the joke of the century, you do realise this is the same woman who refused to have brad pitt babies, who refuses to babysit her god daughter saying she is not the nanny, that woman is far too bussy tanning, smoking and most importantly too self obsorbed to care about anyone else, so dont expect her to adopt any time soon.
i think sheryl will be a great mom, i think it's a great idea to adopt child from the VS, because not only people in Africa hasnot no future, except some but i think she's gonna do a great job!
I love the name Wyatt.I pray they have a long, happy, healthy life together.
wow we should feel honored. someone here knows jennifer aniston well enough to know that she hates children and how she spends her time. how ever did you meet ms aniston that she would tell you such intimate details of her life? anyhoo, lol@jen, the thought of using one wipey is gross
and lastly, i doubt that sheryl crow was able to adopt through the states unfortunately with how the laws are set up her age and her history of cancer would be a big factor againist her.
I'm tired of hearing how Aniston does not want a baby and how self-absorbed she is. Well she hates kids so much that she told cox she wanted to the god mother and she was looking around to adopt recently. The best thing about the divorce was BP and JA didn't have kids. They had a lot of problems but children wasn't one of them. Get your facts straight people.
I would refuse to get pregnant too if i felt my relationship needed work. That would be responsible wouldn't it?
refuse is the wrong word, i meant hold back.
awww yay good 4 her
she needs this and 2 be a mom after breaking off engagement and getting cancer
Congratulations to her!
She looks stunning, too.
I hope the baby gets all the love it deserves.
Congrats for adopting, but this woman is a moron. Her global warming ideas are crazy.
That is awesome! Good for her- and "them"
I'm so happy for her!!! This is great!
I think this is the greatest! An American baby even, what a novel idea for an American celebrity. And she's staying home for a while with her new bundle. Totally Awesome!
Congratulations Sheryl!
Congrats to her! I wish her all the best.
