Sarah Jessica Parker went functionality first walking a slightly less bundled up James Wilkie to school yesterday. It was business as usual for the mother-son duo, despite the sad news that Bitten went down with Steve & Barry's. That certainly doesn't mean less work for SJP, with her new TV show in the works and movies as always. As for the one movie everyone wants to hear about, Sarah Jessica recently talked more about the sequel and also life after removing her mole. Here are highlights:
- On the SATC movie: The one thing I regret is I never roamed around Manhattan and saw it [with the crowds]. I was too embarrassed about getting caught. I was afraid it would look like I was gloating. I do regret not seeing all those ladies — and some men — dressed up in their finery. But it was thrilling to hear about.
- On removing her mole: If I knew it was famous I never would have had it removed. My health is terrific. I never thought anybody had any emotional attachment to that mole. I certainly didn't. It was just one of those things where I had a couple weeks and I thought, "I can finally get that mole removed," like many people do. It was an incredibly slow news week . . . One woman said to me, "That's your signature!" I said, "That's my signature?! All these years of being worried about the work, I could have just counted on my mole?!"
To see what she has to say about James Wilkie seeing the movie and the possibility of a sequel just read more.
- On James Wilkie seeing SATC: It's never even occurred to me to consider that. I guess I always assumed he'd never see it. The funny thing is when he says the title to me. Anytime I say I'm going to work he says, "Are you going to do 'Sex and the City'?" He sounds like a dead-end kid. I can't imagine him ever seeing it, but I guess one day it won't be terrifically horrible. Maybe he can show it to his wife on a date.
- On a sequel: We are talking about it. We've had very general conversations about the idea. That's the big hurdle: the idea. The studio is very enthusiastic, which is lovely and seductive. We're at the place where [writer/director] Michael [Patrick King] has a wealth of stories so now it's, "We think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that it's the right thing to do?" That's challenging. I would do these forever but is it right for the audience? Is this the story that we can tell well? These are the questions I have to ask myself or I'm not being fair to the franchise. That's where we are.

oh my goodness!!! sjp and carrie are the same person... IMHO, anyway!!! i kept hearing carrie's voice when reading this! lol i miss satc soooo much! i watch reruns all the time. i love her!
1what happened to bitten?
2So excited for a SATC sequel!
3why do I love her outfit???
4UGGS.
5well i think that there are still a LOT of people who would want to see the sequel if they did it right. i feel like smith should come back east for samantha, and that we should see more of carrie and big, but that's just my opinion
6SJP is so cute.
I'm on the third season of the series and I can't stand Big. I assume he gets better... but I just don't like looking at him. He gives me the creeps.
7I just rewatched the whole series and I still don't like Big. But Carrie was the dtupid one it that relationship too, so I guess they fit.
8I am so glad others are creeped out by Big, too. I never, ever liked him, and even though I knew it was going to happen, I was still disappointed she ended up with him! I don't know who I would have preferred her with, but I never got his appeal.
I really hope they don't make a sequel. I thought the movie was a perfect end to the show. What more could they do?
9"If I knew it was famous I never would have had it removed."
What?! I love SJP, but that's a very silly comment. I don't know if she's being sarcastic or not, but she's Carrie Bradshaw! Of course she's famous!
10Oh and the way she wears her uggs kind of bother me. Tuck them in!
11Hmmm mr. Big, ok, he wasn't nice, but damn was he handsome!!!!
12to all the people who say 'they dont like big'. while i was always a big fan (even in the beginning) as the series goes on, he does transform a lil bit. he was really cocky, arrogant, and it was almost like carrie admired him more than he wanted to be with him--but he starts to get some really funny story lines as the show progresses (IMO) ...one of my best friends watched the series straight thru and she hated big in the beg. but really liked him at the end...
i would see a SATC sequel but worried where they could take the story line... i dont want filler like they did in the orginal.
13Hate those kind of coats she's wearing. Yuck.
Don't want a sequel. Loved the ending to the series, loved the movie but I don't know what else they could tell us. Don't ruin a good thing.
14Big sucked but Carrie was quite a moron too ...when did she remove this mole? I always thought she had the chin of a witch but never thought she was unattractive at all....especially when she was younger
15Yuck.....maybe she should get her horse-face fixed too, no one noticed the mole.....
