After the ladies and men showed off their red carpet styles, they headed into the Nokia Theater for the American Music Awards last night. The show started off with an exciting medley from Christina followed by a performance from the New Kids on the Block that you guys are split on. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and the Jonas Brothers represented the industry's young blood while Coldplay, Kanye, Mariah and Alicia Keys with Queen Latifah were also crowd pleasers. Justin Timberlake played special guest while Miley celebrated her Sweet 16 between awards — check out all the winners here. There were so many great performances to choose from but our favorite act of the night goes to Beyonce, who clearly brought Sasha Fierce to the stage.

6well i really enjoyed christina's performance, and i had to laugh a bit at NKOTB but otherwise i think that the show blew away the VMAs and i hope that this is just a lead in to how amazing the grammy's will be. i just wished that Brit would have been a surprise performer.
7Beyonce was awesome. Mariah did a good job, Liona was great, Pink I liked. NKOTB were horrible, I was embrassed for them so I changed the channel in the middle of their performance. TPCD was good too.
Riri was boring, but thats normal, Coldplay was blah, Neyo should stick to singing and leave the dancing to Chris Brown.

11I liked Christina's performance, and while Rhianna's set and costume confused me, I thought her vocals at the end were surprisingly good. I love the song by Beyonce, but during her performance I was entranced by the blonde dancer she had with her. She was really talented! They guys Christina had performing with her were really amazing as well.
I was kind of surprised that Miley didn't suck more.

12The AMAs are my favorite music awards. I think that the Grammy's are fixed. I loved the show with all the great performances. Alicia Keys' song at the end with Queen Latifa and Katherine battle was excellent. Kanye is an idiot. I wasn't to thrilled about Coldplay, I like their other songs better.

14NKOTB - they were really stiff last night. I loved Miley Cyrus' performance, she can rock it out for a 16 yr old. Did anyone else catch when Melody of the PCD's couldn't get her jacket off in time to do the pole dancing routine? I like seeing mistakes live, that's always my fav part.

18New Kids did their THANG! if you don't get it then you won't ever, and Christina needs a new LOOK her pasty skin with red lipstick and she does not do Chubby well, her voice used to be good she tries to hard to prove that in her mind she sounds like Areatha Fraklin, Stop, Beyonce is soooooo extra Just stop! 19I didn't watch because I forgot it was on. What's the deal with the metal glove/fingers Beyonce is sporting these days? I don't really get it.
20I really loved Taylor Swift's performance. There really seemed to be a lot of emotion and raw-ness going on when she was performing. It was really great.
Christina's performance was great too, but I really didn't like those bangs on her.
Annie Lennox's performance was wonderful too.
21My favorite performances were by Beyonce and Leona Lewis, although the rest of the show was rather boring to me (but some of Jimmy Kimmel's zingers were hilarious!) I thought Christina just did okay, but it seemed like something was wrong with her vocals last night. I love her, I just thought she would do better...
22I thought NKOTB were fantastic. I saw them in concert on Saturday night and they were amazing. They look great and sounded even better.

Whatever is was Miley was singing..just sounded like something that could easily give me a headache. Not fun to listen to that performance at all.. But I really liked the big lineup of guests!
