Suri Cruise looked like a mini movie star in her sunglasses out in NYC with Katie Holmes and her flowy plaid dress this morning. The 2-year-old was decked out in yet another piece from her endless dress collection, and it turns out there's a reason this little girl is never wearing pants. According to Tom, Suri refuses to wear anything else. He said, "We put the pants on and walk away and the pants are off and the dress is on." Sounds like Suri already knows her fashion preferences well, though we'll have to see if she ends up going through a little more of a tomboy phase and borrows her mom's famous jeans as she grows up.

They are starting that girl on some bad habits. I can see her now with a super sized sweet 16 party.
1I like Katie's dress.
2I can't shake this feeling that she's going to be a spoiled pain in the a** when she's older.
3Looks like a mommy/daughter makeover is in order.
4Really? and she just happens to pick out a new dress every day? It does really feel like the Truman Show....
5Brat.
6lol...shes looks funny
7Ever since Katie Holmes lost half her body weight she looks like she's about 10 feet tall. The dress looks good on her, though. She's definitely also grown up style-wise.
8Maybe they should stop buying short sleeve dresses during winter too.
9suri is too cute and the sunglasses only add cutness!!!
10the sunglasses must be the latest product placement. let this kid be a normal child.
11And she's 2? Wow! Who did she get her 'fashion' sense from? Tom? Obviously not her mother!!
12Ye, I love how some magazine has placed Suri as the no. 1 tot in the world. But clearly, she only gets written about loads because her parents are kinda wierd nutjobs who are rearing a beast in the making (MUMMY I WANT THIS, I WANT THAT. GIMME IT. NOW! - Can you imagine that, as a teenager! SCARY!)
13Isn't she a little to young for those sunglasses. They treat her as though she's an adult.
14I think Suri is a cutie. My girls had sunglasses (hello kitty) younger than her and the purse to match, and I hope I'm not considered a bad mommy because of it.
15I had snoopy sunglasses when I was little (a little snoopy in each corner). So what? I loved them and sunglasses to wear like mommy. Stop picking kids apart.
16Snoopy and hello kitty different, but not designer shades.
17I really want Katie's dress. Fabsugar?? Any suggestions?
18That dress looks like it's going to swallow her up (or some other unsuspecting passer by). Child sunglasses are fine (and fun) - but these look like some kind of designer sunglasses. They should let the child be simply a child - at home, play with friends, do normal things and keep her totally away from the paparazzi.
19that dress on katie is buttugly!! ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
20Oh I actually think this makes little Suri more cute in my eyes if this fact is true (because I don't think she is all that super adorable compared to any average kid). I've known lots of little girls who love to wear dresses and princesses, and if that's the reason she's always "dressed up," I'm fine with it. Just so long as crazy Tom isn't forbidding her to wear pants or anything.
Oh, and of course they treat her like an adult; their religion advocates that.
21it's so funny that she's like that since that's what my mom used to say about me. i would go to school in a dress and we would play on the playground and the teachers would always tell my mom that i should wear pants, and she would say 'i try but it doesn't work'. i like that suri's a girlie girl.
22Suri and Katie are precious! Bale's daughter Emmaline was wearing cute sunglasses too.
23.. as long as suri doesnt become another Olsen muppet in her teen years.. its fine by me..
24I think Tom and Katie raise her so well. But sadly the media and photograpphers will never leave Suri alone. Suri brings back my childhood memories because I dress like her when I was little and have the same helmet cut as hers.
25And ohhhhh myyyyyyy I have a similar dress with Katie I got back Spagol two years ago. I still have it and I pair it with my boots.
Their cuteness is killing me and I too want Katie's dress.
26ilanac13 - I couldn't agree with you more!!! Some of these post amaze me. I can't figure out how someone can tell that a child is spoiled or even a brat by looking at a picture of Suri wearing dresses. I have to laugh at these people who get so offended at Katie for allowing Suri to wear dresses everyday. I have a 3 year old who wants to wear dresses every day and you learn to pick your battles.
I love the picture of Suri and her baby doll - she is so precious!!!
27I kind of worry that they are pushing Suri into the spotlight a little too much, because she has helped her PARENTs popularity. We don't see Tom in public nearly as much as we see his daughter, and I think that is a little odd. If they wanted to keep her life more private, they could. It seems selfish, IMO. We see her out nearly everyday.
28It's not the dress thing that bothers me. But dressing a 2 year old in designer clothing, shoes, shopping are Barney, Prada and Gucci, and raising her as such, is just a formula for a spoiled adult. Meet enough spoiled New York or LA socialites and you'll know what I mean. Look like Parish Hilton.

30Suri's coat is very Sarah Palin (I like it). The glasses look like kiddie glasses but I do think that putting a 2 year-old in designer clothes everyday is a little ridic. I think she's spoiled but most Hollywood kids are spoiled (even the Jolie-Pitt kids). I don't think Katie and Tom are doing any worse or doing any better than any other Hollywood family.
311.- over there...how u know does are sedigner shades?...
2.- I think katie's dress is a dolce&gabana
and we do this very stupid comments about suri and katie, but i don't think this is the only girl treated like this. Who are they hurting?...
32
Why can't they let her be a little girl instead of a mini-adult?
33why doesn't she get a coat? the man behind them is wearing a jacket!
34Suri is definitely the cuteness with wonderful parents. I love Katie too....she is classy and all grace.
35That dress Katies wearing is HIDEOUS!
36Dear lord. That dress is hideous. Reminiscent of 90s grunge bands, mixed with an evening gown.
I don't mind Suri's clothing in comparison, but surely she must be cold with no jumper on?
as for the sunglasses, I frankly feel that children should have them as early as possible. Their main purpose is to protect the eyes, not to look 'cool' - and so I'm all for kids having sunnies!
37I agree with Myst. No one saying she is spoiled because she likes to wear dresses, it's the fact that she seems to wear only designer clothes at the tender age of 2 and her parents (by their admonition) seem to not to be able to tell their daughter "no." But it may be just a phase...they don't call them the terrible twos for nothing.
I don't see why everyone is raving over Katie's dress. It's ugly and plain IMO.
38I love the dress! Want!
39Katie's dress is utterly ridiculous, lololol! maybe it would work on someone else, but she looks like a ginormous scarecrow lady, yikes!
Suri on the other hand always looks perfection. hopefully she will grow up appreciating what she has and wanting to give back to the world in some way. there's nothing wrong with dressing your children in expensive clothing, you worked for the money it's yours to spend how you see fit, as long as you also raise your kids to appreciate what they have and to care about those less fortunate.
40Suri's cute....are those, baby Tom Ford glasses?
41What NYC are they in? It has been FREEZING here (in the 30's).
42My sister as a baby was the same and hated trousers, she'd rather walk around in her knickers because she didn't like how restrained she felt in pants.
I see a future ultra-diva thanks to all this paparazzi stalking and her weird parents. Suri won't be a normal child, I can see the spoiled brat parties already and planned photo shoots.
43I'd never put designer shades on a kid EVER!!!
