Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman went to an Australia screening in NYC yesterday after Hugh stopped by the CNN Heroes event the night before. Nicole's been making the rounds with the Sexiest Man Alive as they promote their new movie, but she still loves talking about her new life in Tennessee and baby Sunday. Nicole said:
- On Sunday being born in the South: "I'm glad that she is able to say she's born and bred in Nashville and Tennessee. That is really lovely. I think it's very appropriate, considering her daddy. [...] For him to be able to say his baby girl was born here, I think is very special. I hope she has a Southern accent."
- On Tennessee: "We never get bothered, and the people are incredibly friendly and easygoing. It really has been a perfect match for me. I don't want to go on too much about it to the rest of the world because then more people will come here. It's a secret. Keith keeps saying, 'Shush, shush, keep this a secret,' because it's so beautiful."
Nicole said her other children are "city kids," but it seems like she's fitting in perfectly to life in the South with Keith and her little Keith-ette.

awww Nicole will be a great mother in the coming yrs!! Sunday is so lucky
1I am so happy for Nicole, that she was able to have her baby. She seems like a very sweet woman, and I wish her all the best. I really like her movies, and I think Austrailia is going to be beautiful!
2i feel like a lot of people have that type of stuff to say about nashville...so it's nice that she's there with her family. i don't know if i would have ever pegged her to be a country girl, but she does seem to fit in in that world.
3I hope they have botox there :eyeroll:
4Nicole is one of my favorites. Seems so classy and down to earth.
5I like Hugh Jackman. He is a family man, seems to be a cool, sweet and down to earth person. The movie so far is getting mix reviews.
6Life in Tennessee can't be THAT much different from life in Australia. I get a "country" feel from Australia just like I do from Nashville. Keith is right though, HUSH IT Nicole, or you're going to get bombarded just like Oregon and Washington have done from all the damn Californians! (NO OFFENSE CALIFORNIANS! LOL)
7whatever....please stop talking
8mykie - i know what you mean about it having a "country" feel. i was talking to this man at work who is from australia and he said that australia is a lot like texas... just way bigger. I know she said tennessee... but texas still "country" in my book
9You don't GET much more Country than Texas. LOL
10It's so funny that Nicole & Keith are Australian, but they feel at home in Tennessee. I've never been to Nashville, but I guess I can see how it is similar to Australia.
Mykie - Hey I am offended!
Just kidding. I like Seattle and the rest of the
Washington is cool, but I would never move to Oregon (sorry Oregonians but I'm not really a nature girl). I'll stay put in California, I love it here.
11California, I live right across the river from Oregon and I will barely even DRIVE there, so I hear ya about Oregon. LOL
And it's GOOD that you love it there! Because those of us that dislike fires and earthquakes don't. LMAO
